every time I arrive in Florence I go to visit this palace . there's never a queue at the entrance, you don't have to buy tickets online, I don't understand why it's not on the tourist circuit because to me it looks like a jewel of a palace with painted rooms and engineering innovations. this year we were lucky enough to see on the penultimate floor an exhibition of lace from different centuries. I recommend with all my heart.

A great insight into mediaeval life with a range of displays, and not too busy! The first two floors (accessible by stairs or an elevator) showcased bedrooms and living spaces with informational signs and more rooms than I expected. Make sure you don't miss the rooms down the hall the lift as they aren't super obvious. We had to wait for about 15-20 minutes to access the third floor as they have a limit on how many people can be in the space at once, but once on floor 3 there was an incredible display of lacework and clothing (make sure to open all the drawers to see the displays). We went on a very busy public holiday, but the museum itself didn't feel too packed, maybe only 2-4 other people in each room at a time. A great museum for a very reasonable entry fee, you can also access it as part of a pass to all 5 Bargello-associated museums.

Delightful little palace that can be visited in less than an hour. Multiple floors include a courtyard, bedroom with adjoining bathroom and more. Very few other visitors going through, especially for a Saturday. Enjoyed it.

I was superlucky to walk by the palace and find it at 19:00 on a saturday. I come every year to Florence but this has not been caught by my radar yet!! An exceptional experience to walk through the rooms. Highly recommended to all!

It is not a well-known one, but really worth visiting as it restores the life of rich Italian families starting from XIV century. The museum presents a lot of authentic details.
