This space is so unique, well thought out and overall a great spot to base your trip to Florence out of. The breakfast in the morning was good and the staff was so helpful in providing recommendations for quality leather shops and booking last minute activities and spa services. We really enjoyed our stay here and definitely recommend it! You will not regret it.

My only feedback is for management to keep some room fans on hand for those of us who are acclimated to using AC even in moderate temps (it's us Americans, guilty as charged, lol). The AC is all/nothing for the entire building. We totally understood and were not upset, but would have slept better if we were able to get a touch cooler. Leaving the windows open was not an option due to street noise. If road noise is an issue for you, request a room that faces the inside of the building/enclosed courtyard.

Overall, a fantastic place!

This hotel is perfectly located: out of the crowd but close enough to the center. The room we had was very well decorated and as a general statement you can see the level of efforts spent in the rest of the hotel’s decoration. The Service was perfect from the first minute. Really appreciated to be able to check-in in autonomy.

My only comment would be to address the noise issue in room 21 (we struggled to sleep the first nights as the room was facing the street and it becomes quite busy every day from 7.30am). I am not sure there is anything that can be done, (maybe double glazed windows?) as the building is maybe old but if there was a way to address the noise that would be fantastic. I will definitely come back to this place eyes closed and would recommend it to anyone!

Our stay here was amazing. Upon arrival we were greeted with great service and knowledge of the area. The rooms are stunning and the location is perfect. Viviana made our stay extra special and we’d definitely come back.

Be careful not to book a room on the street as it is a major thoroughfare for buses and there is not soundproofing. Rooms are each different, but it all fell a little dated.  You easily hear everyone outside your room. Breakfast buffet is very average.  There must be better places to stay in Florence at similar prices.

My partner fell ill several weeks ago, so we have had to cancel the entire trip regretfully. When we contacted customer service at the hotel, we were advised that the room booked was 'non-refundable', and our waiver request was rejected. The hotel was within its rights to reject the request indeed, but the significant issue here is we were contacted by customer service again yesterday regarding our plan of stay. They seem to have completely overlooked the cancellation request and the respective explanation we provided them weeks ago.

The customer service team offered some 'kind' gesture that the room can be offered to 'relatives or friends'. However, this is not simply viable as I am from Italy! How would I get someone to book a holiday at the last minute to take advantage of the room that's already booked?

The key issue here is the inflexibility and insensitivity demonstrated by their customer service, which is extremely poor and shocking. Worryingly, the previous response from the hotel was also deleted, which clearly shows some dishonesty right here.

This experience seems to align with some of the poor reviews I have seen on Google. The hotel argued that we have had the option to book a 'refundable' room, but it was never our plan to cancel the holiday or the hotel room in the first place!
