Overall a good experience though I must say the food quality and flavour is not on par with other 1 Michelin star in Europe. The starters and main courses are decent, but I find the concepts can be less complicated/modern to allow the seasonal produce to shine more. Best dish for me was the lamb 3 ways: executed perfectly with great flavour. Desserts were unfortunately very bland and one dimensional. Service was great and attentive without being intrusive.

We booked this restaurant a week ahead for party of four. City of Norcia has been badly affected by 2016 earthquake, but still remains beautiful and worth seeing and surrounding mountains worth hiking. Hotel and restaurant is located in a heart of Norcia, it's elegant, but still nice and cozy with charming small back garden with a lookout on surrounding fields and hills. Service was very hospitable and friendly. Food was perfectly balanced, made from local, fresh products with Japanese touch of Chef Fumiko Sakai. Very long list of vines, but you can put your self in the hands of Laura - sommelier and she will navigate you safely and find a way to make all party satisfied. As for Michelin star restaurant it has suprisingly homely feeling.

We had the opportunity to dine here upon our arrival in Norcia.  This was everything you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant.  Excellent food, expertly presented and prepared. Every course a new culinary experience.  Highly recommend
