This restaurant is truly exceptional. From the atmosphere to the food to the service, everything here is incredible. My husband and I happened to stumble in to Mare Magno after we made it to our hotel and were looking for lunch and I am so happy that we did. The food here feels like a warm hug, clearly made with lots of love and tastes so fresh. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The owner is kind and welcoming. We loved it so much that we ate here all three days that we were in Venice. The closeness to our hotel was convenient but I would have walked to the other end of the island if that meant I had the opportunity to eat here! I don’t need to eat at every restaurant in Venice to know that this is the very best.

A very nice vibe, authentic looking, delicious food, delivered in a timely manner. Emma our waitress was very helpful and made us feel well-valued. We really liked the place and will definitely visit again to have opportunity to try tiramisu. Grazie!

Came here because it was close to our hotel and saw the good reviews. Honestly this was the best food we had in Italy!! Homemade with love!! We didn’t experience slow service at all. We didn’t have reservations and got the last table. We weren’t very hungry so we shared the gnocchi bolognese and it was so so good!! We also shared tiramisu, absolutely delicious and made that same morning. The wife was so sweet. Would absolutely recommend!!!

This was our first meal in Venice and it was our best meal in Venice. It’s owned by the sweetest woman, who writes the daily menu on the chalkboard. I fear I will never have a lasagna as good as this for the rest of my life. Highly recommend.

This is one of the best meals I’ve had in many trips to Italy. The braised beef ravioli was brilliant! The wine was so reasonably priced and delicious. The owner was incredibly welcoming and attentive, and the music selection was fantastic. 10/10 would come back again and again.
