Converted Zeppelin hangars that are now home to a tasteful redevelopment and which house the Riga Central Market. Each of the hangars specialises in different produce so mainly fruit and veg in one; meat in another and so on. There's also a food area where you can get hot drinks and some refreshments. We bought cheese and bread and some other things all at really good prices. It should definitely be on your list of places to visit in Riga.

Must visit market they have absolutely stunning staff.
Specially the sea market aria is very impressive. The minus is that they don’t have tables to enjoy your food there. There are table on the other section (cheese & meats). Go there hungry and enjoy.

Very impressive market. Always a bellwether for what a city is really like, the market is where the people are. A very impressive selection of meat, fish, fruit veg and other gastronomic goods.

At the meat market it was a good an example of using pretty much the entire creature as I’ve seen.

Outside more stall holders. All the people that I spoke to were friendly.

A massive market. The majority is the covered part, selling meats,fish, dried meats, vegetables, teas, apparel, herbal medicines/supplements and a supermarket inside. a lot of stuff I saw are very fresh and I bought some very fresh beef ribs which is so cheap (about USD14  per kg).

Huge market place with different areas for meat, dairy, fruit, veg, clothes and more and more and more.
This is a great place to explore, some of the stalls are full-time, some run by older folks selling their produce. There's an ATM inside as some of the stalls are cash only.
This is a must-visit for tourists and you can get just about anything there. There is even a little supermarket inside.
Souvenir stalls, women's coats, fur goods... there is so much there that I believe it is impossible to go there and not buy something. You can also get food and drink to revive yourself whilst shopping.
I do not know what else to say, go and visit. If you go to Riga and do not visit this market... you have not been to Riga.
Be aware that there is a seagull mafia working there that bullies the local pigeons. If you try and interrupt them - they will beat you up as well. I kid you not.
