In one word, we thought the dishes were fantastic and of high quality! Yet we only give four stars.
We found the service inconsistent with the food.
We sat close to the open kitchen and heard a lot of the conversations in the kitchen.
And in our opinion the service was just too free and not really a hostess. Example: We didn't think the reception was entirely okay. You enter a hall/corridor with a door and glass windows and the hostess and kitchen staff are all staring at you. Instead of receiving you and welcoming you.
One person serving in a busy shop seems insufficient to us. In such a restaurant, we believe the owner should have a more prominent role in terms of contact with the guests.
Very unfortunate because once again the food is really fantastic!
Price quality is excellent!

The restaurant is well placed in the centre of Roermond, not far from the Theatre. As a 1 person diner I was lucky to get a table on a busy Saturday evening. The food was really very good, presented on the plate exceptionally well and explained in either English, Dutch or German at the table. It's now a permanent addition to my restaurants to visit whrn I am in Roermond.

Excellent food, super service, outstanding evening! The food was beyond terrific; the "worst" of alle the courses would merit at least five google stars, the best was in another stratosphere. Every plate was excellent, definitive and balanced in taste while being creative - I have never experienced that composite level before (in 9 subsequent courses!)!
