Where should I begin? This restaurant is a real treasure- the atmosphere, the service are just on the highest level possible. And the food… OH my goodness the food! Each bite tastes like a little bit of heaven, we would definitely return to this amazing place! I could easily say that this is the best restaurant in Breda.

What a great experience at Restaurant Markant. An intimate setting for a culinary adventure, a true hidden gem. The dishes were exquisite and highly original. Unexpected pairings that were truly marvelous, the chef has a unique gift to unlock flavors in ways you won't find anywhere else. Every bite was fantastic, the owners are very personable, and the service is great. Michelin star quality in a relaxed setting at very reasonable prices. What a pleasant surprise!

In één woord Subliem!!
Deze zaak kunnen menig restaurants nog wat van leren. Zowel het eten, de service, bijpassende wijnen en passie voor het vak blinken hier enorm uit. Aan alles is tot in de kleinste details gedacht. Zo kies je zelf je smaak botertje bij het brood, komen ze bepaalde gerechten zoals steak tartaar aan tafel voor je bereiden en heb je de mogelijkheid om je eigen kaasplank samen te stellen waarbij je elk kaasje van de kaart kan proberen.
Daarnaast zijn de eigenaren super vriendelijk en bieden ze een hele persoonlijke service. Ook de chef kok weet wat hij doet! Alle gerechtjes zijn zeer smaakvol en zeker niet standaard. Ik ben al in vele fine dining of Michelin restaurants geweest maar dit blijft toch echt een favoriet!

Many restaurants could learn something from this case. The food, service, matching wines and passion for the profession really excel here. Everything has been thought of down to the smallest detail. You can choose your own taste of butter with the bread, they will prepare certain dishes such as steak tartare at your table and you have the option to put together your own cheese board where you can try every cheese on the menu.
In addition, the owners are super friendly and offer very personal service. The chef also knows what he is doing! All dishes are very tasty and certainly not standard. I have been to many fine dining or Michelin restaurants, but this remains a favorite!

Heerlijk gegeten bij dit mooie en gezellige restaurant. Niet groot qua oppervlakte maar zeker groot qua kwaliteit. Steak-tartaar aan tafel gemaakt, t was echt heerlijk en kabeljauw zelden zo goed bereid, heerlijk . Je voelt  je hier echt in de watten gelegd. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaren . Aanrader 100%

Had a delicious meal at this beautiful and cozy restaurant. Not large in terms of surface area, but certainly large in terms of quality. Steak tartare made at the table, it was really delicious and cod is rarely so well prepared, delicious. You really feel pampered here. Very friendly owners. Recommended 100%
