We visited the restorant on the Christmas dinner. Our visit to the restaurant left mixed feelings. At first, everything was great – the atmosphere was cozy, the food was decent. However, the mood was completely ruined when we received the bill. The prices were clearly overpriced – they didn’t match the quality or quantity of the dishes.
What was especially disappointing was that the prices on the bill didn’t match those listed on the website. To discover these hidden extra costs, you’d practically need to jump through hoops to find them.
We sent an email but did not receive a response.
This lack of transparency ruined the experience. If you decide to visit this place, make sure to carefully check their website and look for any hidden terms.
Overall, the food and service were fine, but the non-transparent pricing completely spoiled the impression.

Amazing food. Our group were very pleased with the service we received that evening. As we were an international group an English menu would have been appreciated but nonetheless the staff were helpful. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Leiden.

Very nice welcoming and accommodation. I was welcomed by a lady who seemed to be the restaurant manager.

The restaurant from inside looks amazing and nicely decorated for fine dinning experience. They seemed to offer a range of wines, and that showed their experience of how they designed the bar and the dinning place.

I asked her if they offer bitterballen and she said yes. I order bitterballen and a cup of hot tea. The tea was served in no time, while the bitterballen took some time. I sat outside since the weather was nice.

The bill came to around 13 euros.
