Unfortunately, this restaurant has a terrible service despite having the potential to be much better.

The only server working had very poor English skills and was extremely rude in their behavior. They were also quite unsuccessful in explaining the dishes. I came for lunch today, and it took 2.5 hours just to serve a simple 3-course menu. Both the service and the kitchen were much slower than they should have been.

The person who brought the main course did not make any presentation, and unfortunately I was only able to eat half the plate as they had served an unappetizing risotto.

Typically, in restaurants like this, water is either free or available unlimited for around 3€. Here, they charged me 10€ for individual bottles of water, which I had to pay for as the sole diner.

Absolutely 5 stars for this restaurant, nice location, very good service, elegant and decorated very well. Food is delicious and presentation superb! Good choice of wine. Owner and the staff are very kind and professional. Located at the first floor, access through a typical steep staircase.

In the centre of Rotterdam you can find this gem. A mixture of amazing wines and Michelin rated food will make this one of the best lunches you’ve had. The staff has an amazing wine knowledge and caters to the preferences of the patrons. You can either have a set menu or dine a la carte. The setting is very soothing and the background music creates a warm ambiance. Perfect for a business lunch or a romantic date.

I visited Vineum with my husband. We opted for a 4-course menu (mine was adjusted for my dietary restrictions without any issues). The service was very good and the food was great. Although there was nothing 'mind-blowing' about the dishes, all of the food was of high quality, and we emptied our plates with pleasure. And, of course, they offer an impressive wine selection.

Amazing experience at VINEUM, a fine-dining restaurant in the city-centre of Rotterdam.
We both went for the 7 course dinner with the prestige wine pairing. What I liked was the option for half glasses. 7 full glasses of wine would have been a lot.
The service was outstanding with great explanation about the dishes and accompanying wines.

Would recommend to anyone.
