Great food and service was good. Atmosphere was cosy. The value was great and it was as advertised. Most dishes were good. A few were average. Especially loved the vegetables dishes with its unique sauce and arrangements. Bone marrow was also quite lovely. 8/10

This was possibly one of the best dining experiences I've had recently. We had the Smalhans set menu, and the quality of every dish was top-notch. There was not a single one I did not like. You could tell from the taste that the ingredients were carefully picked and local. This is without a doubt a strong recommend if you're in Oslo.

Service was okay, though the establishment seemed understaffed. Food was either decent or inedible. The best dish was the starter, and it went downhill from there.

The fish was okay, veggies were mostly bad, and beef was terrible. Terrible salting work on the lettuce and beef. Beef was also tough and a chore to eat through.
Dessert strawberries were also rather sour.

Booked for 10 people but only 9 came which they are ok with, no bread and butter was offered for which i expect as a standard in a michelin recommended restaurant, service was ok, we were served by a nice waiter but the other one literally dont give a $h!t, food taste good but the portion sizes for 9 people to share on 2 small plates was a let down for 6 courses at 675 nok per person but paid for 10, with selection was good.
Maybe not coming back soon as the service and quality of food was sub par to other similar recommended Michelin restaurants

I recently had brunch at Smalhans in Oslo, and it was an outstanding experience. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients that made every dish exceptional. The service was impeccable, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel welcome. Our server was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, providing great recommendations. Overall, the brunch was a great value for money, and I highly recommend it.
