Visited in June 2019. Stayed 2 nights at Lofthus Camping and went to Trolltunga. Rent a car and go up to Mågelitopp, park, and start hiking. The parking lot is 400m above the ground and costs 600kr. People wait in line to take pictures at Trolltunga. The weather is very unpredictable, and it gets cloudy quickly and you can't see an inch ahead, but it clears up quickly. If you visit Trolltunga, you will see one of the best of the three great trekking courses in Norway.

Fabulous but hard hike. If P3 is closed taxi from Odda is about NOK1300 each way & worth it as hike from P2 is shite...
Walk varies but always up/down even the last 2km spectacular though all the way.

Hike to Trolltunga was an unforgettable adventure, filled with breathtaking scenery and just the right amount of challenge. The weather was ideal for hiking—a bit cloudy but overall pleasant, which made the trek more enjoyable. The beginning of the trail was quite challenging, with steep inclines that really tested my endurance. However, once I got past that initial stretch, the path smoothed out and the hike became much more manageable.

If you're up for a moderately difficult hike and want to experience some of Norway's most iconic scenery, Trolltunga is definitely a must-do.

Great hike.  Went from car park 3.  Walk was long and beautiful.  Went in September  on a day forecast for rain.  So it wasn't really busy.   It did take us the whole day.  Weather cleared up which was good.  The trolls tounge at the end is amazing.  I am scared of heights but had no problems at all on the walk and went on to the tounge for a photo as it is a lot wider then it looks.  There were no queues.

It's a 10km hike from P3. The trail is well-marked with slightly steep climb only in the first half. The views from the top is absolutely breathtaking!
