Not what we expected…we paid for a superior room with a city view and on our arrival we were put on a standard room which had a view of a path behind the hotel…of course we weren’t expecting our room to look exactly as the photos advertised but we did when it came to how big it was. When I went to report this down at the reception apart from the fact that they weren’t helpful at all neither seem to be bothered. He began explaining that we shouldn’t be expecting the same room and how the pictures with the rooms are not the same…he did however, show us another room which was a bit bigger than the previous one but yet had a view of the same path and not the city 😅 We then started realising that the room did not have a wardrobe it was a tiny space behind the mirror with 3 hangers which we never used since none of our clothes fitted in there there was also no safe box neither a fridge. Bathrooms were okay in the beginning but upon taking a shower we found out that all of the water was splashing all over the floor because of the glass panel’s awkward position and the sink tap would not lift to drain the water so we had to pull it out. At that moment we had given up since we were exhausted and we accepted the fact that we wasted our money. Regarding the members of the staff at the reception they seemed to  be forced being there…no help with any recommendations around the city neither to help us with any other matters..breakfast decent… didn’t find anything fresh beginning from the sausages, the eggs etc and cold!
Location was excellent though and quick to access many places. The bed was very comfortable and warm. Definitely not worth the money paid but we didn’t spend much time in the hotel so it was whatever. We wouldn’t return.

Great location and a pleasant welcome. Breakfast had a good variety.  The room was small and the maintenance absent - broken blind so they would not close and hence hard to blockout the daylight; bed side light did not work; window opening and closing mechanisms broken on all the windows; the sheet did not cover the mattress; housekeeping must be stretched as we had to go and ask for toilet paper; the bin not emptied, and it goes on. We mentioned the issues with maintenance to the front desk and it was brushed over.   Norway is expensive, as expected, however we did not expect such a poorly maintained hotel. It is closer to a 2 star hotel.

I liked this hotel, the corridors feel you're on the starship enterprise! We had two rooms, an internal one with no windows and one with a window with some natural light. The internal one  was mine and I loved it, very nice room, altho after an hour I had to go outside for some natural light so it's not somewhere I could hang out long. We were busy out and about so this was fine. There was aircon, not super cold but perfectly doable during some hot days and our rooms both had fans and I set mine up by the bed so this worked fine to allow me to sleep at a decent temperate. Free coffee/tea in the lobby, and the receptionist who checked us in was lovely, the hotel also gave us a packed breakfast for our six am departure on our last day, which I thought was very kind!

interior rooms are overheated (no aircon) , external ones are not provided with proper windows in order to guarantee any sufficient quiet in the nighttime. the place is settled above a famous pub that closes at 3:30 am even on weekdays.
other reviews mention these same issues, so avoid this place if your needs might be compromised by this lacks

Great place to stay if you're in Bergen. I has a single room for my stay and it was pretty small but it was clean, which is most important to me, it was comfortable and had a nice bed. Breakfast was ok and the staff was friendly and professional. The location, right in the city centre is amazing!
