We booked for lunch on a Saturday after visiting the lovely local market. I was expecting a very casual place given the setting within a shop, but we were all blown away by the quality of the food. The restaurant was buzzing with happy diners, including many local families. We did not have time for dessert but wish we had, as they looked amazing.

We didn't order main dishes, we just ordered some entries, and we weren't disappointed.
The presentation of the dishes is beautiful, well balanced and we were satisfied with everything.
I recommend the goat cheese with ice-cream, pear and nuts. Also the vegetables were very good.

The food and atmosphere were amazing! Especially desserts…it’s the perfect balance of sugar and sour!
One thing is service. The waiters were really slow and not paying attention to the customers (but food was cooked super fast).

My wife and I ate here on a Wed evening. Came in around 7:30p no reservation. They were able to seat us very quickly. Food was wonderful, but especially high marks for the cheese/pickle/ice cream appetizer. Sounds crazy but OMG it was so good, just a phenomenal combination of complementary flavors. Great wine selection and very reasonable prices overall. Definitely go if you're in the area.

Absolutely loved our experience at Gadanha. Service, food and venue well situated. They have a great deli/shop before entering the dining space. Good selection of products for sale.  Menu on the €€€ side but meal was well prepared.  Desert was the peace-de-restance. Toodelicious for words.
