My friend & I tried a few stalls and food. We had the Monte Mar seafood with tomato rice, Miguel Castro e Silva piri piri chicken & fried squid, Chef Susan Felicidade prawns with beans and rice. Our favourite is Marlene Mar. They serve traditional Portuguese food at reasonable prices and very good food. The prawn bean stew from Susan Felic was cooked well but it was very ordinary. This place has an amazing atmosphere. The food, people, drinks make this a must come when in Lisbon.

The place is awesome! It’s a huge market hall, food court, smells really good, lots of fish dishes, and the fresh produce is right on the other side.
FOOD: definitely the place to get lunch, food is so tasty, juicy, you can hardly go wrong with whichever one place you pick. Just check out the size of the dishes and make your selection based on that, some really make your money’s worth. We had the burgers Salmon and Beef, very very juicy, also a bit on the fatty side so en careful! Overall delicious and not too salty or peppery. Also, sauce was not overpowering.
ATMOSPHERE: the place is excellent, everyone is looking at the food and trying to decide, looking for a place to sit could be a bit tedious but everyone gets a sit in the end and rather quickly. It’s a hall, you have music from time to time, people taking and enjoying their food, their beer, the smell of fresh cooked fish. It is just lovely.
SERVICE: difficult to expect a good service in such a big hall, with some many people, it’s a bit in sort of a rush when you order since there is almost always a line, specially in rainy days. But people and everyone is very friendly.

An absolutely amazing setup with an incredible variety of food options to choose from! The atmosphere is vibrant and busy, making it a great place to soak in the energy of Lisbon’s food scene. While some stalls are quicker than others, and there can be a bit of waiting for your buzzer to go off, the quality and choice more than make up for it. If you’re a foodie, this place is a must-visit—highly recommend!

So this is definitely a food lover’s experience. Not only the sheer variety of foods you can get but also the quality. Ok this is maybe just speaking from my perspective but I came here twice several years apart and I was never disappointed. Actually we came twice in one day. Here is some advice! Since you share tables with people who are present, have one person look for a place while the other is getting drinks or food and than switch of and hopefully you will find an open spot at the table. Don’t leave enjoy the food and drinks. You will meet a nice amount of people who come and sit next to you. During the day most everything is good, but in the evenings after thousands of people came through we noticed the toilets are not the most sanitary. For food lovers an absolute must visit!!!
Came back today 3/2025 still not disappointed. Very good variety and quality. See photos if updated food items

Absolutely LOVE this place! So much great choice and quality under 1 roof! The food is amazing, the place has a real atmosphere even though it can be pretty busy all the time and you may struggle to get seats, especially if you have more than 4 in your group. Toilets were free and clean but small.
