The type of place I dream of. Would rate it 10 stars if I could. Every single dish was executed to perfection - all flavours perfectly balanced in an innovative spin between Romanian ingredients, French techniques and a twist of Asian spice.

The owners and every single member of the staff became personal friends of ours within one meal - they helped us on a personal mission to track down a folk flute maker we had been looking for all trip. Beautiful interior decor, so personally decorated and full of plants and natural elements like rattan. The art was whimsical and refreshing.

Honestly better than the vast majority of fifty plus Michelin starred restaurants I’ve been to across Europe and Asia. Incredible value for money. Was so overwhelmingly amazing I went back twice on my last day in Bucharest. Could only hope to live next door!

Papila is a small joint that serves good food at reasonable prices. What I loved most was the ambiance: the space is small but perfectly used and tastefully decorated with light fixtures that create an intimate decor.
1. Food was good. We ordered 2 lunches: tomato soup and bulgur with fried egg as well as veal schnitzel. The fizzy elderflower lemonade was very interesting. Everything was flavourful, well-cooked and fresh. But I didn’t feel any special aromas or something memorable enough to return. Just honest food at honest prices (for Bucharest at least 70 lei for the lunch menu). 4/5

Absolutely amazing place! Fine dining, everything was delicious. The service was also super nice and attentive. I normally don’t drink coffee where I eat but here I had too and it was also great quality specialty coffee. If ever back in the city — this is a place to return for sure🤍🤍🤍

One of the best places in Bucharest!! Super tasty food, great service with welcoming and friendly staff and beautiful decorations.
Highly recommend trying the starter+main+dessert menu. We particularly liked the shrimp confit and sea bass crudo for starters, and the quince dessert was a favourite. They also make amazing cocktails.
Will 100% come back and recommend it to friends!!
