Lovely spot , just got lucky and we got a table on a walk in . Food and staff were exceptional and around €50 per head for starters and mains plus a couple of drinks each and coffee

After the bumpy start of our visit to Sierra Nevada, we got a last minute reservation in this restaurant located in the nice village of Monarchil.  Having an awesome lunch there marked a new tack on our day.

The staff was super nice and extremely professional. All dishes were flavorful and carefully prepared. The leeks with an almond and saffron gratin were superb. The goat and the occido de Cuaresma were also delicious. And the French fries in my son's dish were spectacular. So far from today's pervasive frozen fries ...

The right place at the right time.  We'll love to go back to Monachil, complete the route of San Anton, and visit them.

I have been at La Cantina de Diego today with three British friends. Food was exceptional, the products outstanding and the service perfect. The ratio price quality is very good, an outstanding experience  for a very reasonable price. A great pleasure, highly recommended
