Great culinary experience in the middle of Asturias less known countryside. The restaurant combines modernity and classic elements in the architecture. The interior atmosphere is elegant, welcoming and with rustic elements. The service is attentive and flexible (two of us could enjoy the tasting menu while the other three chose a la carte). The dishes have a good balance between the local/traditional recipes & ingredients and modern elements and presentations. The only minus is that the place is very remote with a challenging access road (especially when it rains hard or there is fog) so unless you hire a car service or you have a generous designated (and experienced) driver, you will not be able to get the full gastronomic experience with wine.

First things first, the food was really good and highlighted some classic dishes from Asturias such as Croquetas, Pitu, Bonito, Cheese, etc.

My biggest disappointment were 2 things:
1. We mentioned a shellfish allergy on the reservation and even when we sat down. Two minutes later and the first appetizers include shellfish. They apologized and brought a different course. BUT 3 courses later, another dish that included the allergen. This behavior is not acceptable at a 2 star Michelin restaurant.

2. It was noted on the reservation by my partner that it was a milestone birthday. Not even a happy birthday received at any point during the meal. Very disappointed as we traveled from the US to this small village to celebrate a milestone and it was just ignored!

My wife and I had an amazing experience at Casa Marcial. So much that its become our favorite michelin star restaurant so far! Located in a very beautiful area of Asturias near Arriondas and their parking lot has really nice views of the land and mountains. Every single dish wash super delicious and had a very elegant presentation. The wine pairing was fantastic and the sommelier did a superb job explaining the wines and how they complemented the dish we were about to enjoy. We did the fitu menu and next time we are there we will do the el cachucho. We loved the patio they had outside where we ended the night with some delicious coffee and really tasty sweets.

Absolutely amazing meal! Every dish was top tier. The staff was very friendly. The location is beautiful. Nacho and his sisters are making some amazing representations of traditional Asturian food. The sommelier (Juan Luis) had prepared some exquisite pairings that are worth the extra money, they truly elevate the dishes.
