Absolutely great. All the dishes were very well prepared - you see that they control the whole process of preparing the dish up to serving it at the right temperature. Incredible meringue of pine with oyster. I can still taste the courgette sorbet.. congrats to the whole team!

We had the seasonal menu at Maca the Castro and it was great. They use only local food and it changes 1 - 1 1/2 months. The welcome was very warm and heartful by the staff and they really try to make you the best evening you could have. The menu was awesome and also looks very great, wine was recommended to the food and made the whole meal perfect. In the end Maca herself was asking how we liked her menu and was really friendly and happy to hear what we had to say. All in all i only can recommend it!

I am very surprised by some recent negative comments about the restaurant. We were on holiday in June 2022 and our experience was very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend the restaurant.

Our reservation was for 19.00h and since we arrived a few minutes early we were offered a glass of champagne downstairs, and then some snacks to enjoy at our leisure. The staff were super nice and friendly, and when we finish our drink we were shown to our table upstairs. The atmosphere was whimsical, we liked the art pieces a lot, the local wine from the island  that was recommended was really good, and the food was excellent!

This was a very nice and memorable dinner experience, and we would definitely come again next time on Mallorca!

A rather disappointing meal. The positives are that the food is innovative and well executed. They are doing some interesting things with local ingredients and there were a couple of stand-out dishes including the mares milk, sea cucumber, and salt baked skate wing which were fantastic. On the negative side the desserts were bland and forgettable. There were a lot of other negatives too, mainly to do with price and experience. We regularly eat at Michelin starred restaurants and for me a large part of the enjoyment of a high-end meal comes from the service and context in which it is served. We both felt that this was not good value for money especially considering that we found several other restaurants on the island with excellent tasting menus for a very reasonable €50-90 which were considerably more enjoyable and less pretentious, and with better food too. The atmosphere at MaDeCa is non-existent. You feel like you are in a hotel lobby with its bright light, awful outdated artwork and decor. The spaced out tables and lack of music made it feel very cold and empty, and while that is likely a COVID related precaution, it also detracted from the ambience. The servers were trying to be friendly but came across as overfamiliar/intrusive, they were also trying hard to be formal but making a lot of basic errors such as serving my husband before me. I would absolutely not care about this if it was an average restaurant, but when you are paying over €400 for a meal for 2 the expectations are of course a lot higher. It’s a shame because the food overall is quite good, but I wouldn’t come back.

Possibly the best meal of my life. Inventive, flavour bending, fresh and delicious! I couldn't recommend this place enough. The staff were wonderful, very attentive, professional and couldn't do enough to ensure you enjoyed your time there. Cost approximately £220 per person including wine pairing (around 7 small glasses, 13 courses). If you're on the fence about going - book it. Book it now!
