Wonderful Dinner with friends while in Barcelona.
Great atmosphere. Innovative dishes and attentive service. Had the tasting menu  and would highly recommend the experience all the seafood was prepared perfectly got to try some interesting dishes that I hadn’t had before so that’s always a treat.

I recently visited Dis Palillos for a last-minute dinner and unfortunately, I wasn't able to try their set menu due to the lack of reservation. However, I opted for their à la carte menu and had an enjoyable dining experience overall.

One highlight of my meal was the fried stuffed calamari. The dish was exceptional, with a well-balanced mix of flavors that truly delighted my taste buds. The chef's skill in achieving such harmony was evident, and I highly recommend trying this appetizer.

I also ordered the saki-infused nigiri, which was beautifully presented. While the visual appeal was impressive, I found the taste to be slightly underwhelming compared to the exquisite presentation. Nevertheless, it was still a decent choice.

The cold noodles I ordered were a burst of delightful flavors. The selection of flavors was top-notch, and each bite was a delightful surprise. This dish truly showcased the chef's ability to create a harmonious blend of tastes.

Moving on to the Japanese burger, the standout elements were the bun and the pickles. Both were exceptional and added unique touches to the overall burger experience. However, I feel that the burger patty itself could have been improved to match the excellence of the other components.

On the other hand, the chicken katsu sandwich was a perfect delight. The chicken was expertly cooked, delivering a tender and flavorful experience. The toast was flawlessly executed, adding a satisfying crunch to complement the succulent meat. This dish was undoubtedly a highlight of my meal.

Overall, my dining experience was great. The flavors in most of the dishes were well-balanced and enjoyable. Although I missed out on the set menu, I plan to return in the future to savor the complete culinary experience. The attentive service and inviting ambiance further enhanced my visit. Without a doubt this is a great restaurant but for me a lot of dishes were a bit too much, edgy or even weird.
Not sure if this was because I had the 15 year anniversary menu.
