We had a wonderful lunch at Mirko’s yesterday. The Bib Gourmand fixed price lunch is an incredible value. A fresh salad palate cleanser, 3 appetizers presented together, a choice of three mains, a choice of 4 desserts, wine and water for €30. Every bite was a delight, and everyone there is lovely. Couldn’t recommend it higher.

Amazing experience. We had the Macarfi “surprise” menú that includes 3 starters, 2 main courses (1 🥩 dish and one 🐠 dish) and 2 🍮. On top, the aperitivo was amazing.
The chef decides the dishes so the “surprise” effect is served!

At just a short drive north west of Barcelona we tried this restaurant located along the main street in Caldes de Montbui.
Welcome by Mirko himself....who even remembered my name when we entered the restaurant (a first in many years!!)...we were seated immediately at one of the few tables on the ground floor.
The interior is contemporary minimalist with a large collection of cooking books along the full length of one of the walls...quite interesting
Menu was explained by Mirko, and we selected the tasting menu of Euro 30, which included an amuse bouche, a trio of tapas style starters, a main course, dessert, mineral water and a glass of locally brewed beer or house wine.
The starter included a stuffed gourgette as well as a stuffed ravioli and as main course we selected a paella and squid dish
All food was perfectly presented, exquisite in taste and served at the right temperature and with the right time intervals
Service by the partner of Mirko was friendly, personal and efficient
Definitely a venue where we will return and one highly recommended for those after a great food experience mixed with friendly professional service and great ambiance
