This was a really fun experience. It was an old-school Spanish restaurant that had a special “Madrid stew”. The stew is not what I was expecting. Like it’s like a 6 course tasting menu that includes lots of soup, 6-8 different meats, veggies, etc.  It was a fun experience. While it is not something I would order again, experiencing it was exactly what I was looking for (classic Madrid).  It’s really just a ton of food, I didn’t eat dinner that night and I was just fine.

The service and atmosphere were top notch. It’s in a very old building that has a historic, regal look. This is matched by fantastic service that was very attentive and helped everything even though I speak limited Spanish.

It's very popular, therefore it's always packed, but if you could get a place, I believe should be  lovely, going back centuries experience,

The man at the door was very accommodating, the tender very nice, only the cashier was a bit cold and unpolite,

The system is, order and then with a card number you go and pay to the cashier.

Because was crowded decided to take it pastry away ... we love the blueberry muffins, the habana cake was a bit dry... but still taste was good... so we went back for a Roscon de reyes,  we love it as it has not dry fruit, only almonds, Was soft, sponge and tasty...

We will give another try to place than run through centuries.
The atmosphere and service in general is good.

Recommended by a friend who lives in Madrid, the Lhardy experience did not disappoint. This is the oldest restaurant in Madrid (there's a bakery on the ground level!), which has a history going back to 1839. Wow!

Food and service were impeccable. The decor is amazing. It's an experience for all the senses!

We ordered Pate en croute, Iberian ham as starters. The Iberian ham is top quality and tastes welcoming in the mouth. The Legendary Madrid Stew is good to try out as it’s pretty unique in Spanish cuisine. The soup which is part of the stem is excellent. The meats are not so tasty as they were used to make the soup. The service was very good in every detail except the waiters didn’t check whether the customers need anything from time to time. Overall it’s a good fine dining experience.

We’re here for have a quick drink and light food to recharge in afternoon so we didn’t enter the main restaurant room.

Love this antique atmosphere when we step in, pick a seat, the staffs speak English so its easy to place order.

I like the cold tomato soup , its simple but good. Its a good experience to come & enjoy
