I tried this risotto with prawns, bacon and mushrooms and was really pleasantly surprised!!! Extra creamy texture and perfect flavor
love it so much
Also the waiter was friendly and spoke English well

Really, this is the best place I found in Bilbao. It is simple, straight forward, and small.  The chef in the back, is non pretentious, never comes out! But the food is perfect. Calamari is tender, not chewy, the tuna salad has belly, a huge plus. The potato fries are perfect, seasoned with salt and crunchy. All the items on the menu are superb. And usually under $30 for everything you order. Wow, this is the hidden Diamond of Bilbao, and I give all the glory to God who lead me here 3 years ago. You will go back, again and again!!

Tiny bar with delicious tapas and very good coffee.  3 tables outside are pleasant also.  Views from the trees of the nearby plaza.  Very friendly staff.   To repeat.

Good lunch stop.
UPDATE: Returned after 2 years and it is better now. The lunch selection is very good and the service is also very good. Highly recommended.
NEW UPDATE: This place has changed dramatically. The new person managing has no sense of customer service. We had a reservation; arrived a little early, were sat down and after some minutes we were asked to vacate the table because we had arrived too early and that table was reserved for another party. It's not like we were shown to another table. No, we were shown the door and asked to return later. Guess who's not returning? I do NOT recommend this place of business.

I didn’t take a picture before, but I guess this is a good picture to show how much I enjoyed this plate. I had the Caesar salad and everybody else ordered typical dishes and loved it. Great place and great service.
