Had private beginner lessons for four days in a row for me, my wife and three daughters.

Great instructors!

We emailed a week in advance and everything worked out as planned. Then we asked for a change on the third day and staff went the extra mile and rescheduled internally to make an additional hour possible for us.

My kids went to the surf school for 2 weeks my self and my wife did one week of surfing.
It is one of the oldest surfing schools in town. The team is awesome! We all enjoyed the training, the gear is good the facilities are really good and include vast skating stuff and are just some meters from the beach. When you book a surfing class you also get a 10% discount on everything in the boutique. We bought 2 surfboards there and one mind blowing skateboard for a very good price.
It was the perfect experience I would recommend without hesitation.

I had 1 private lesson and 1 public lesson with no previous experience.

Private lesson: 5/5 learned a lot would definitely recommend

Public lesson: 2/5

We did not learn a lot and compared to the previous private lesson we had it felt more like a quick in and out without giving any knowledge or tips. We were limited to where we can do as the more advanced part of the group wanted to go more towards proper waves and out of the knee deep area. There was no mention about anything safety regarded.

I would definitely recommend the private lessons as we learned a lot and got everything so we could practice, we wanted to do so in the public lesson which limted us more than helped as we wanted some redefinement and make us less dependent. We got none of that and would probably been better off by just renting a board.

The facilities are great and staff is nice.

The wetsuits were a bit smelly.

Absolutely fabulous! I had 3 private lessons with Ivan and loved it 🤩 He was such a great instructor, very knowledgeable, patient and supportive! Even in bad weather with choppy conditions, he made sure I was always safe and helped me go through the big waves when I needed it! Thank you so much Ivan 🥰 The beach can get very busy and crowded but going in the morning seems best! They provided lockers with keys, bathrooms and showers and responded quickly over WhatsApp when I had questions. Definitely recommend 🤗

I’ve hired a surfboard at Pukas today. The material was good, but to be fair a bit pricy compared to other surf shops in San Sebastián. The staff was very unwelcoming and not helpful. It’s so easy to just be kind to people…
