We managed a table on the 30th December, after calling and the answer was that the restaurant was full later but available on the spot and early! When we arrived we managed to get an early table and eat a beautiful meal! We had clams, seafood soup and a grilled sea bass! The clams were big, as you can see on the picture! The sea food soup tasted like the ocean! The fish was tender and could be cut like butter! It became our New Year’s Eve dinner, with very attentive service and not expected at all during this time of the year! Thank you to both ladies that served us!

A very welcoming experience for a different craving!!  i ate here first on Sept 24. i was looking for "paella" and my friend heard me wrong and brought us to La Olla. "already here, might as well. dunno what's good here". there was NO paella on the menu. but then i saw Bacalao and Pulpo. that's it!!   while waiting for our orders, i noticed the staff bringing out a dish that to us asians resembles steamed grouper. the waiter expertly de-boned them table side. then i got the typical symptom of order envy. That looks good!! next time. it was my birthday by the way and they got me a small cake with a candle. awww!!
Fast forward two months later, after a loong 24hr trip from asia, planes trains and a taxi ride later, our first stop was dinner at La Olla. an older gray haired waiter attended to us. i wanted the fish and with my broken spanish and dismal sign language, we understood one another. from what i gathered (this may not be true) l, the dish i wanted is not in the menu. ah!! a secret menu!!  he had different choices of the fish - sea bass and something else. i asked him what he recommended and said yes (not knowing). then he asked us what else the 4 of us wanted. again, pulpo, bacalao, and then there was a shell fish dish, and chistora.  all were great...   then the fish arrives.  it's a some sort of flat fish. a sole.  Boy was that good. i wanted to finish it down to the bones but it is not appropriate in this setting.
the food was a great as all the staff attending to us. they were all very attentive and most of all, patient.

Our first night at Pamplona, decided to have dinner at La Olla! We were very impressed! At a restaurant when you get great food, great service and wonderful atmosphere with all attention from everyone works there then you’re at the right place! Food was over the top yummy  and our server ( Vera ) was amazing! The manager kept on checking on us and other tables!

This restaurant serves the most delicious mussels, which, according to the waiter, are from Galicia. The mussels are large and very tender. The service is excellent, and the staff is polite and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant to all seafood lovers!
