A wonderful lunch, from start to finish, with excellent service. We also enjoyed the atmosphere in the recently renovated restaurant, and had a table with a view of the Öresund.

Came looking forward to a lunch in a pleasant setting.
To begin with the host saw us, but left us standing for a minute at the door. Then instead of walking us in, he proceeded with showing us the menu and saying “we have these menus here and a cheaper option at the bistro on the lower floor”. Kind of odd, as we kept standing at the entrance and not walked inside.
After we said that we would like to sit down, he walked us into a completely empty restaurant (as it was 11:30, they have just opened for the day) and offered us a table in the corner (the saddest looking one), even though there were literally no customers and they have nice tables with a sea view.
After we asked, if we could have a different table, he said that they were fully booked. To my remark that there is no one here, he said “I can show the booking list, if you don’t believe me”.

I believe, this attitude and treatment are not appropriate anywhere, let along at the a place that claims to give one “a fine dining experience”. Usually those rely on the staff with good manners and politeness that are aimed at making the customers feel at ease.

We walked away and had a lovely lunch at the bistro part downstairs.

For a couple of years this was our foton Christmas dinner place. It’s still great, but change is not really their thing ;)
