A long way out and a ling up hill walk, but once you get there it is very nice and tranquil. Excellently take care of.

What a delightful place. Loved the Art Brut. The sculpture garden is astounding, so much beautiful work. Good cafe. Top of my list of Stockholm museums.

Wonderful museum named for the famed Swedish sculptor Carl Milles. He was a monumental sculptor who received many public art commissions at a time when many cities expanded and were modernised.
Carl Milles was as a traditional as well as quite innovative. His choice of motifs were traditional. Ancient Greek, Roman and Christian mythology as well as Swedish history were often his sources of inspiration. The museum is a quiet place and is a nice escape from busy tourists areas. Highly recommend.

I would say this is our favorite spot in Stockholm over our weekend trip. We came in right before the sunset and the views in the garden were amazing. It's a magical realm where the artist Milles and his wife made their fantasies into reality as well as their forever resting place. Location-wise, it's a bit out of the way from central Stockholm but definitely worth the time and effort.
