Large selection of English titles, latest magazines in several languages, great selections of Swedish language books in all categories. Comfortable coffee shop inside as well. Helpful, friendly staff. Some game-board seating at small tables. Very pleasant place to hang out.

Bookstores still exist. And Akademibokhandeln is a good example of why. While you can get a better selection online, the strollability(!) of a physical space is just great.

This particular store has a wide selection of books in many different domains. You’ll find classics and children’s literature as well as several shelves of economics and travel books.

There’s also a small coffee shop inside. It’s a neat place to break open the book h you just bought.

Well worth a visit if you like books, even if you mainly purchase them on your Kindle.

I have been to this location on more than one occasion in search of very specific books. On both occasions, I've been helped by two different members of staff. Both went absolutely above and beyond to help me locate the books I wanted which meant some deeper searching out the back of the store.  I don't remember the name of the first woman who helped me but the second woman was Iman. Thank you for your help

One of the biggest bookstores in the Nordics, a pleasant and peaceful space with a good selection in both Swedish and English (and a sprinkling of other languages). Cozy café on the premises.
