One of the best meals and experiences of my life. We loved every minute, from the welcome cocktails, to the incredible service from the fun and friendly staff, sensational food (the amuse bouche, starter, everything), wine recommendations from the sommelier, to our after-dinner drink in the bar. One of our party does not eat fish and they were very accommodating. Everything was perfect - thank you!

The owner is a charming man who welcomes you as you walk in and explains the wine list and courses, and offers you a cocktail before taking you through the speakeasy-style bookcase in the back to the dining room.

We started with some amazing bread and butter infused with sage, and two amuse-bouche: one lobster roll, and one tournedos Rossini, both a pleasant wake up to the taste buds, which we washed down with a delicious glass of white wine recommended to us by the owner. We finished the openers with beetroot in a carrot marinade, which was quite pleasant.

We then made our way to the main courses, the duck ravioli and veal, both very tasty, creatively constructed, and a pleasure to the eye. We were recommended a bottle of Syrah from a small local producer, which we loved.

The only miss for us was the dessert, which was lacking the same flavor intensity as the other dishes, but was still good. I would say they were a victim of their own success with the opening dishes, and we were expecting more perfection.

Overall an amazing meal, amazing hospitality, and a reminder to all what great restauranteurs are all about.

Opinion from a Gastronome : Would not recommend.

Price 375 CHF (425 USD) for : 2 cocktails (42 chf ) , 3 glasses of basic wine  (about 30 chf) , 2x “6” course meal (about 300 chf)

There a are 2 (3) good points :
1. It’s a speakeasy restaurant so the entrance to the restaurant area (through the bar) itself is stylish ( behind the library).
2. Their “sage” butter is very tasty , unique,  and memorable.
(3). If you are into wine and are ready for a bottle the selection is actually nice and prices are reasonable.

The rest is pretty bad for what you pay.
1. Arrived 20:38 for a table booked at 20:30. We was told that we missed the service and had to wait about 10min before they ca take us to our table. We told that we do not have much time. Staff advised we would be done in 1:30h
They ended up putting us at the table at 21:00.
Food:
2 appetizers (amuse-bouche : ok-ish) , 2 entries (1 meh , 1 good) , 1 main (good) , 1 dessert (meh).
Out of all the above only the main dish (veal) was nice. The rest is just ordinary.

Wine by the glass: AVOID !!!!!!! Get a bottle. The wine by the glass t’s just very very low quality.

Awesome food and very nice atmosphere! We spend the new year’s evening at the restaurant and we could not have asked for any better. Definitely recommended!

WOW! We were so lucky to have been recommended to this gem of a restaurant. The restaurant is located behind an unsuspecting bar (a speakeasy vibe). You feel that you are in your family’s home - the ambiance is cozy and you can watch the chef prepare your experience (meal). The service was outstanding. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate staff. The food is adventurous, imaginative, and delicious. I see stars in their future! Get in while you can.
