My husband and I visited this cafe while on our honeymoon. The atmosphere was phenomenal and very cozy. The food was excellent and the worker, Pery, was a pleasure to have as our host. He showed us pictures of food options before ordering and picked me as part of a cheese fondue demonstration where I lit the cheese fondue on fire to get all of it off the pan. It was an incredible experience and was our favorite resteraunt of the trip simply because of the atmosphere and fun! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Zermatt!

I was very excited to finally try cheese fondue in Switzerland but was super disappointed after the meal. Let’s start with something nice to say. The host and server we had were both really nice and explained the ordering process and how to actually eat the fondue. The interior space was nicely decorated with a hunting lodge vibe.
Ok now let’s get to the confusing and annoying part. If you order fondue both you and your partner will have to get one and you can’t get 2 different ones. If they were going to do that they should just list the price for a pot for 2 , it feels a little scammy to me . And honestly it was way too much for 2 of us I feel like I only needed 1 portion for the 2 of us. I know places located in more touristy areas can cost more but paying almost 80 CHF for cheese , potato and some bread is a little ridiculous. On top of that we were also charged for tap water (“filter” water according to the wait staff).
If you just want to try fondue I suggest picking a different place, others seem happy about their non fondue orders.

We had the classic fondue with bread and potatoes and it was different. I am not accustomed to the cheese so it tasted different to me.  I did have a drink that the waitress recommended and it was wonderful. The place is cosy and the atmosphere was nice. I would go again and just order something different.

Everything was amazing here at Du Pont including food (cheese fondue and sandwiches), services, atmosphere!
Perica was our waiter and his service was brilliantly great. If I ever come back to Zermatt I will 100% eat at Du Pont😄

Hands down, the best restaurant we visited in Switzerland. The food was amazing and the service was even better. The staff were very friendly and helpful to international travellers. The scenery was second to none since the restaurant is located at the center of an intersection. The portion sizes are quite large and definitely worth the price!

Highly recommend and will visit again!
