The Crab Bisque had delicious flavor with two big cheese coated croutons. Mine was served lukewarm, which I would have preferred it to be hot or at least warm.

The Cookies and Milk dessert was a big cookie with a cream on top. It was amazing!

I'd love to return some other time and check more dishes out.

Last minute lunch decision made us stumble to this place. Luckily we got seated right away, albeit right front of the door on a winter day.

Service was prompt.
We got the lamb cutlet and the chicken. Both dishes came with a few sides including potatoes, some sort of greens, carrots, cheesy cauliflower, and what was supposed to be Yorkshire pudding.

The best thing on the menu was the potatoes. The chicken was cooked perfectly, but it lacked seasoning and had no color-almost as if though it was boiled.
The lamb had good flavors and the verde sauce on top was excellent. However, the lamb was too chewy.

The cauliflower lacked basic seasoning. A little salt and pepper would’ve elevated the dish. And the Yorkshire pudding was too burnt to enjoy.

Overall a very disappointing food-taste experience. But we loved the atmosphere and given the menu changes, we’d love to give it a second try.

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was delightful. Our larger booking meant we were seated downstairs, giving us a private and cozy dining area. The staff were lovely, and the food was fantastic. While the portion sizes were on the smaller side, adding a few sides made for a more substantial meal. Would recommend!

Steak tartare £16 (8/10)
This was absolutely amazing. It was my first time having steak tartare, and I think they nailed it. It was very well seasoned and it didn’t taste like raw meat at all. It felt like raw tuna than beef. It was really good, but personally I would recommend it with few slices of bread instead of the shoestring fries.

Fairly delicious, portion was a bit small, 2 bites and done.

Highland beef bone in Sirloin to share £86 (7/10)
Personally if you want to have great steak and something like this, I would recommend Kitty fisher in Mayfair, they offer better steak and bigger portions. This is great too, we asked for medium raw, and it was tender, juicy. Just personally I would prefer kitty fisher’s version over this. The chips that came with the steak is something to die for. Really special, delicious and the texture is amazing. It also doesn’t taste very oily, it’s a must to try.

Cheesecake Au Citron £9 (3/10)
This is my biggest complain of the entire meal. It really felt like a scam because of how it looks like? It is really small, and it isn’t even shape like a normal cheesecake that we normally imagine. It felt like a very low effort meal where they just dump some digestive biscuit crumbs and a scoop of cream cheese???

Overall I would give this place a 7/10, the prices definitely hiked up due to the location, but understandable at that location. Hmm, the cheese really got me fuming. Maybe it should be a 6/10. Overall it was around £140 for two persons with a glass of house wine, and my partner and I were 60% full. It’s pricey but one great thing about this place is that they don’t serve super fast and make you feel like they are chasing you and wanting your table back, great place to social chat and dine.

Excellent overall experience here. Beautiful room, excellent service. The crumpets were more like rectangular croquettes, but very good, as were the gruyere croquettes. The hake was unusual and delicious, and the Lamb was perfectly cooked. Lovely eve.
