Amazing, I wish I had a bigger stomach because the food was absolutely delicious and wish I could order more off the menu.

I had a reservation so getting a table was simple.

I drank the Arrack Attack No. 6 - it had a good balance of sweetness and arrack. For some, it might not be enough liwour, but perhaps it is meant to be enjoyed that way. I certainly did.

For food, I opted for mild spicy choices.

Bone Marrow - Already amazing by itself, the curry sauce topped on top and around the bone marrow has a distinguishing taste that made me slow down and enjoy the flavor. With the roti, it was evidently clear to me that it must be enjoyed together with the charred, flaky contrast from the roti.

Vegetable Kothu Roti - for a dish that does not have meat, it had so much flavor and the right amount of different ingredients to not overwhelm me with different textures. I felt inspired to try to cook this at home. (They do sell cookbooks).

Lamb Kari - Lamb was perfectly tender and mixed well with curry. I got the Dosa and was always eating them together, turning the dish into a satisifed melody of "mmh mmh mmh". Also got Pol Sambaa  with them, but a bit on the spicier side so I didn't really add it often. Try it, if it's your cup of tea.

Overall, service was great and prompt.

Nice little place in central London. Nice and tasty food. Ordered the bone marrow and egg hopper, both are really nice. The day special is very special and worth trying. So definitely ask for the special before ordering! Just be aware that some dishes are a bit spicy🌶️.

Went on a Friday evening, around 8/9pm and it was pretty loud and busy. We managed to get a seat by the window.

I liked how fast the food arrived and the service was great. Really enjoyed the flavours, just the environment wasn’t for us and the branch was really small/felt cramped. Hence the 4*

We went at noon on a weekday and fortunately had reservations since most tables were taken. The restaurant was fairly small and the cuisine is Sri Lankan and we tried the podi dosa, egg hoppers and the string hoppers with the jackfruit curry, sambar, pork curry and the aubergine dish. For drinks we had the salted buttermilk and the shot of  litchi arrack. The food was overall flavorsome and my one grouse is that accompaniments to the dosa and hoppers eg. sambar and curries have to be separately ordered. This is in contrast to South Indian restaurants where these are given along with the dish. Also portion sizes for some of the dishes viz. the aubergine vegetable were tiny. It was our anniversary and the restaurant generously provided a chocolate cake which was kind of them.
