The pastries at pollen were absolutely amazing delicious pan au chocolate could’ve done with more chocolate but it was such a lovely treat. Cinnamon bun was definitely better!  The coffee was very very smooth but I think way too small for the price which was disappointing. Nice service (they gave us stickers) and cool interiors

I spent 36 hours in Manchester and made a point of trying this bakery as part of my trip! We were lucky to have sunny weather, so we got to sit outside in the middle of November.

The service was great, and the smell of freshly baked bread was amazing. My partner and I ordered two breakfasts—a sausage and egg sandwich for me, and smoked salmon with poached eggs on sourdough for her. The sausage was delicious, served in a soft bun, and the egg had a unique, fluffy texture, almost like it was steamed. A little more salt would have made it perfect, but it was still enjoyable. Natalie’s poached eggs were fabulous, according to her.

We loved the canal view, complete with ducks, which we fed after breakfast. We also ordered a cappuccino, a flat white, and a pain au chocolat—probably the best I’ve had in ages!

Before leaving, I picked up a 36-hour sourdough to take home to London for breakfast the next day. I fully recommend this spot for brunch or breakfast if you're staying in Manchester.

Very busy at Saturday afternoon.
Three drinks and two cakes only cost us £18.00.  Shame we did not have the change to taste cinnamon swirl.  Chico one is good taste. Not a big fan to the peach cream one. Cappuccino taste good. Not recommend Chai coffee. Maybe it’s not my cup of tea. The cakes are all looks nice. Brunch looks delicious. Will try next time. Definitely will come back. Thanks you.

A mixed bag here so bear with me!

Firstly location is lovely, right on the canal. If the weather is nice, lots of outside seating too.

When I went we had to sit inside as was raining. The inside space is quite small and it was a shared table which isn't ideal but at least we were seated quickly.

Now the food...I had the Eggs Benedict and I have to say it was probably one of the best I have had in Manchester (and I've been to a fair few).

My 2 boys can be quite fussy with food but both of them demolished the Cumberland Sausage and Set Egg buns.

I got to try theirs too and again, delicious.

I decided that I HAD to try some of the desserts because the food had been that good, so decided to order 4 different ones to take home.

This was where I was less impressed, they looked amazing and the bake for each was really good too, but the actual flavours weren't there for me. They were OK at best which was a shame.

Overall I would 100% suggest you try this place for brunch and get some hot food, but I would take or leave the desserts...

There’s something so delightful about this place. It can be incredibly busy but you don’t mind because you know you will enjoy what you get. The coffee is lovely, the food is always fresh, my friends went there multiple times because they loved it too. The only thing I had on the menu that I didn’t like was the grilled cheese. It was too rich and overly done. My friends had some too and were not a fan. The rest superb👌🏼
