We came in for dinner and had a good experience. The dining room is very small, so thankfully it wasn't too busy. Service was a little slow, but it was good. I ordered two rolls: the rainbow roll and the spicy tuna roll. Both rolls were good and had a lot of fish, which was nice. The fish quality was pretty good for a hotel sushi bar and everything tasted fresh. For dessert, we had a matcha mochi ice cream and a matcha chocolate cake. Both were nice. This is a solid option if you are staying at the hotel.

This is a sushi bar at the Park Plaza Westminster. We decided to walk in for dinner. The prices are reasonable. The service was prompt and the waitress doesn't need to write down our. Offer.  We ordered the tempura, which is crispy. The rolls are good and fresh. We ordered the salmon and avocado roll along with the dragon will. 

I'm surprised this sushi bar is almost fun before the rush hour begins.

Got to hotel lady and just wanted some sushi in London.   Found some, but it was not good.  I would not go back.   

Yes it was fresh and I ate it, but it was not worth going back for the following reasons:
1 - sushi lacked flavor ... very bland 
2 - lack of choices ... just the very minimum options, nothing creative 
3 - chef just hides in the corner and doesn't look or talk ... very boring and is clearly bored with his job (not an art or passion) 

For basics ... eat here
For anything of value or special interest... run away

The maki rolls were the perfect size and the sake was fresh and firm. We were very happy with the friendly service too.

Ichi Sushi & Sashimi Bar is located on the L floor of Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel.  Dining experience here is pretty average with the food slightly on the bland side.  I would eat here if you need a quick place to eat but don't expect anything great.

I am hereby basing my experience of Ichi Sushi on having had sushi afternoon tea here once. The sushi I had seemed decent enough whilst the Japanese inspired desserts shone bright with flavours such as green tea, mango, passionfruit, etc. The most plain components were the traditional scones and cucumber sandwiches, but hey, it wouldn't feel like afternoon tea without those in attendance. The presentation of the afternoon tea sets was outstanding. 

The restaurant itself was somewhat difficult to find, being tucked away in the corner of another restaurant in the hotel yet the seating is comfortable and the food whilst on the pricier side is rewarding and well prepared.

Japanese themed afternoon tea? I'm in!

This lovely, chic restaurant is located in the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel, tucked away near the main bar. We came for afternoon tea which was served on a sushi bridge- we had nigiri and maki sushi plus many, many, many cakes.

The sushi was seriously good and I only wish there had been more, I would love to come back to try the full menu. 

The cakes were typical for afternoon tea- plentiful, and scones were provided too. They were very good though, lovely little confections. Our favourite was the pistachio mousse cake- many of the cakes were really delicate and light although still too much for us to easily finish. 

I think as other reviewers have said, more sushi and maybe a mochi/more clearly Japanese cake or two would have been great.

Tea selection was pretty good, very high quality but more about flavoured teas than straight up green teas. I'd like to have seen a sencha or gyokuro for instance. 
We finished off with a sparkling sake, quite different to sparkling wine!

As with most good afternoon teas this isn't cheap, but a lovely treat and something a little bit different.i

On a Monday, waited 30 minutes to get precisely 4 pieces of sushi. Incompetent, egregiously slow, a virtual master class in motion without progress and hapless service. This after waiting some 10 minutes for cold edamame. Avoid

I'll give 5 stars for the food which was awesome, but the service deserves 3 max.
Fresh wasabi is awesome - and not very common

Slow table service, although food came quickly enough once the busy waitress got around to asking for it. Edamame was nicely cooked and not too salty.  Nigiri (raw fish on rice) was fresh and tasty. Not at the level of Tokyo or Seattle, but not bad. Prices were rather high, but not surprising for decent sushi in the middle of London.
