Excellent food & great old fashioned surroundings.    Desserts are to die for Sunday roast was excellent.    It’s expensive compared to pretty much everywhere else I have eaten locally but the food is really excellent.       My only gripe was they add a 10% tip to the bill without mentioning it , even though just a table for 2.    Don’t begrudge the tip    Was worth it but it should be a choice     Would recommend but expect around £50 per head for food & a drink

Really enjoyed our visit here. The food was excellent and the service really good. Parking was a little confusing as it's not signposted (that I could see) - you can park on the road or there's very limited parking just to the left as you turn into the pub's grounds.
It was a cosy and inviting experience on a windy and damp January.
