I had such a great solo dining experience. The food was amazing and impossible to pick a favorite. The wine pairings matched really well and definitely enhanced the flavors. I wish I could eat like this every night, but what a great place to splurge. Seeing the staff and chefs in action was really fun and interesting as well.

A phenomenal dining experience, 5*

We went for lunch and had the 7 course tasting menu. Without doubt the best food I’ve eaten in Edinburgh and one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had.

Each course was crafted to perfection, the service was on point from start to finish and the atmosphere was incredible.

Staff were welcoming and attentive and the surroundings were beautiful.

If you’re wanting fine dining in Edinburgh then stop searching and book this place.

Will definitely be retuning to try the 10 course evening menu.

One of the very best meals we've had in Edinburgh. Excellent flavours and textures across the board in a super beautiful restaurant. Great service, and amazing drinks. Still dreaming of that margarita!

Everything from booking to saying goodbye was great. Everyone in the team are so professional, well trained and informed, with great attitude. I loved seeing Chef Ralston treating his team with respect.
Food was top notch! It was a festival of flavors in my mouth, not the loud kind, but the super interesting, and subtle kind of festival.
I LOVED the soft drinks pairings. The effort of including those who wouldn’t want to drink alcohol on the night and give them the same experience still felt inclusive and thoughtful. One problem I noticed with the soft drinks pairing ( and this up to people’s taste) but there was too much emphasis on fermented ingredients. While I understand this could be to imitate an alcoholic sense, but in some of the drinks it wasn’t pleasant ( or after a few of them it becomes too much). The smoked apple and chamomile drink should become a thing in every restaurant. The earl grey and green cardamom was also very interesting mix. Every single drink tasted uniquely with their pairing.

Still thinking about the langoustine tail and the lobster “snack”.  Exquisite food in a lovely setting and everyone there seems to have a real passion for the food.
Special mention to the soft drink pairing which were all beautifully presented and explained.  They also kept up with all of the tasting menu courses and had been prepared to match.
Being able to walk upstairs afterwards to rooms at 21212 made it a perfect evening.
