Excellent food, waitstaff service and atmosphere. The smaller plates are for sharing. This place came highly recommended. Did not disappoint! Reservations are a must. I love the small cozy atmosphere of this restaurant. Definitely recommend.

Battuto did not live up to the hype.
They recommended we order many dishes to share, so we tried almost every dish that night. Not every dish was a hit, and found many to be lacking flavour and complexity. The cocktails were very good, however.
It took over half an hour for the server to take our drink orders, then another half hour to take our food orders. They also weren't quick to clear the plates and to get us our bill. We also found the space to be quite cramped.

Booked a reservation within 5 min of it opening for the month of October and got in successfully.  They take reservations in “seatings” so everyone with an 8:45pm reservation was welcomed at the same time and we all went through each course on the same timeline (likely easier for the kitchen).  I didn’t mind this, but it’s certainly best for an experience (which is the intent) vs. having a meal at your own pace.

We enjoyed several dishes, and there was one I wouldn’t order again for the price point.  Service was great, atmosphere was good too!  It’s perfect to sit at the bar and watch them work their magic.

Favorite dish was their beef tartare, and I usually don’t enjoy that dish.  Pastas and pork skewers were good too. Would not get the fried gnocchi again - just not a noteable dish with much substance.

Have been trying to get into Battuto for a few years now as it is quite hard to get a reservation. They ended up accommodating us on the patio even without reservation. Food was really good, but we had very high expectations and were unfortunately not blown away. The burrata salad and the bread were excellent and ended up being the best part of the meal. Pastas were good but we have had many great pasta dishes in our travels that were just as good. Service was really friendly and attentive but wait times for food was quite long. This is likely because everything is made from scratch which we appreciate! Our seating was around 3 hours long in total. Location is about a 30 minute walk from Old Quebec - keep that in mind during planning.

Jag skulle absolut älska att äta på den här restaurangen, men för tredje gången nu har jag ställt mitt alarm på 12 : 16.00 den sista fredagen i månaden – enligt instruktioner på deras hemsida – bara för att konstatera att senast kl. 12.00 01 , nästan hela följande månad är redan bokad. Om det finns en hemlighet till att faktiskt säkra en bokning som jag inte är medveten om, skulle jag verkligen vilja veta vad det är!

Vi har haft en härlig italiensk mat som var utsökt och väl förberedd. Personalen var välkomnande och vänlig och denna plats har en trevlig atmosfär.

Detta är lätt den bästa platsen i Kanada. Prisvärd mat som också är lysande, annorlunda, spännande och alltid otroligt. Servrarna är de mest otroliga jag sett på någon restaurang. Gå. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . om du någonsin kan få en bokning!

Jag visste att jag ville äta på Battuto när jag såg Air Canada EnRoute-tidningen och namngav dem som den bästa nya restaurangen i Kanada. Det enda problemet var att få en reservation. Lyckligtvis för oss fungerar deras onlineverktyg bra och jag kunde säkra 2 platser, trots att väntetiden var månader! Ankomsten är vänlig och intim. Våra plagg togs ner och vi satt vid räknaren precis framför köket. Jag blev först besviken över att vi inte fick ett bord, men jag ändrade mig helt och hållet helt och nu tror det verkligen är vägen att gå. Vi hittade ett vitt vin från norra Italien som visade sig vara spektakulär (Langhe) och började beställa. Vår erfarenhet gjordes ännu bättre genom det faktum att vi kunde se vad som var förberedt och gå ut till borden, så vi var alltid inspirerade att prova denna maträtt över den där, vet du? Därför ändrade vi under våren kväll vår första beställningsplan, eftersom vi inte behövde beställa hela måltiden, men bara små tallrikar i taget. En sort av påminner mig om Tozi i London. Vi bokade en bokning efter att ha läst om Battuto i en nyligen utgåva för mat och vin. Det var litet som annonserat. Men allting var "BIG". Vinlistan var begränsad men väl representerad av olika vinregioner. Priserna var mycket rimliga. Men det är maten som gör det till en otrolig upplevelse. Vi smakade flera av erbjudandenen. Det var Cavalfiore och Cavatelli som stod ut. Cavalfiore var en unik förberedelse av rostad och krämig blomkål, och jag kan inte komma ihåg att ha ett lamm ragu som var mer smakfullt. Personalen var mycket informativ och mycket trevlig. Du måste göra en bokning om du vill uppleva denna kulinariska glädje.

Vi var 6 för en familjejubileum. Vi beställde allt på menyn så vi kunde dela och smaka allt. Allt var fantastiskt! Känd som en av de bästa restaurangerna i Kanada reserverade vi 3 månader i förväg. . . men du kan ta en chans till sista minuten bokning. Du kan äta vid ett bord eller på räknaren och se kockarna som förbereder din måltid. Du kan ställa frågor. Tjänsten är superb, ganska vänlig. Priset är verkligen rimligt för kvaliteten. Det ligger inte i det bästa stället i stan men det är värt att gå. En restaurang för "connaisseurs".

Bra mat, trevlig hälsning, lite stram för utrymme men bekvämt ändå, rimliga priser. Ett måste om du vill dela en stor måltid i en typisk Qu bec City-atmosfär.

Mindre än ett år efter det att den öppnades, blev den italienska restaurangen Battuto utnämnd till vinnare av Air Canadas "New Restaurant of the Year" -pris. Jag är inte förvånad. Det är en exceptionell restaurang och ganska olik alla andra jag har känt. Battuto är så liten att den kan rymma endast 25 eller så diners, varav kvartalet sitter i baren inom en meter där maten och dryckerna förbereds och serveras. Detta är i sig en givande upplevelse, en utbildning. Två av de tre partnerna lagar mat och lagar mat den tredje blandar cocktailerna och serverar vinet. Maten är ren i sin presentation och bara underbart att titta på, än mindre äta. Och för att avsluta kvällen, finns det ett val av Grappas som du annars skulle behöva resa till Rom eller Milano för att njuta av. Nu de dåliga nyheterna. Battuto är endast öppen för middag och dess väntelista är längre än Po, den längsta floden i Italien. Så boka bra fram och vara beredd på att din taxichaufför har svårt att hitta den. Battuto är det nya, det exklusiva.

Efter en 7 vecka vänta på en bokning fick vi äntligen se vad all hype verkligen handlade om. Vi blev inte besvikna. D cor är färskt, rent och en ny upplevelse för oss - sitter vid disken och tittar på kocken / ägaren förbereder maten. Tjänsten var professionell, informerad och personlig utan att vara överst. Och maten ... Vi började med Mozzarella - perfekt konsistens, smak och tillbehör och Arancini - lätt stekt och serveras med en delikat doppsås. För anti-pasta väljer vi Carpaccio - underbart! och Pieuvre (Octupus) - definitivt stjärnrättens natträtt. Braised bläckfisk serveras över en säng av linser - fantastiskt! Pasta kursen var Ravioli perfekt med härlig match av tärnad squash och crunchy söta bröd kuber. Lam Bolognaise var också en läckra - men lite salt. Dessert var Chocolate Molten Cake - mycket rik, men en bra match för en perfekt expresso. Vi älskade vår middagsupplevelse och ser fram emot vårt nästa kulinariska äventyr på Buttato!
