We had a wonderful dining experience! Annie provided amazing service, making us feel welcome and taken care of throughout our meal. She even brought fresh cut ginger for my wife who wasn’t feeling well. The vegetarian soups were absolutely delicious—full of flavor and very satisfying. I also really enjoyed the drinks, which paired perfectly with the meal. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food and service!

The view is beautiful. The service was great. We didn't have a reservation, but they were able to accommodate my sister and me for lunch in a very sunny portion of the restaurant where we could see the view of the Dufferin Terrace. The scallops and fennel were chef's kiss 💋. My sister had the seafood casserole that tasted really yummy, also. I ordered the truffle popcorn for dessert. The cosmopolitan 🍸 was sooo nice. Would definitely recommend, and will return.

Wonderful setting, nice view of the river. Small but nice menu. Service was excellent.  The food is "okay" nothing special.  Had a chicken club sandwich which was nice, but accompanying french fries were cold and floppy. Cole slaw was meh. Really expected better, especially for the price. But I think you are paying for the ambience and not the food quality. My wife had a lovely Christmas concoction for a drink - orange, cranberry, apple, prosecco... Her salad was also meh. Go for the experience, not the food.

Important to have a reservation beforehand. The service is impeccable, the interior is stunning and the views from the hotel are beautiful. For the given price point, the quality of the food was acceptable. I recommend the roasted cod and the Québec cheese board. The beef flank steak was salty and a little tough.

The location of the restaurant is excellent, making it easy to explore Old Quebec City. However, when it comes to the food, I don’t think it lives up to its price point.

Given their current pricing, there’s definitely room for improvement. The service felt lackluster and not reflective of a high-end restaurant; we often had to wait a long time for our server, who didn’t seem very enthusiastic.

As for the food, it was quite underwhelming. I ordered the beef short ribs, and they lacked flavor and were rather mediocre. Overall, I expected more from this dining experience.

Bistro Le Sam

Min fru och jag kom på middag. Vi hade en 8 pm reservation. Restaurangen är modern och bekväm. Personalen är i allmänhet vänlig och maten är bra - inte vinna några utmärkelser, lite för dyrt ($ 155 kanadensiska för 2 drinkar och 2 main's) . Problemet vi hade var bristande organisation och uppmärksamhet. Vi satte oss strax över 20 och klockan var 21 innan våra drinkar kom till vårt bord och efter 10 p innan våra huvudrätter kom ut. Kyparen var inte oförskämd men han var ouppmärksam. Men vi observerade att han inte var ensam i det avseendet. Restaurangen var inte full men värdinnan avvisade människor vid dörren. Personalen verkade oorganiserad och det verkade inte finnas en front - av - huschef. De två bartendrarna - som var nästan rakt framför oss, pratade och skrattade och det saktade verkligen ner dem - så drinkarna gick långsamt att komma ut. Servitören kom inte tillbaka för att kolla till oss med någon frekvens, så vi satt och väntade utan bekräftelse. När han till slut insåg att det hade gått lång tid utan att våra drinkar kom sa han något i stil med "det dröjer en minut till", och då skulle det gå för lång tid igen. Vår servitör verkade glömma att vi var där och det är inte klart om han kanske också glömde att lägga våra dryck och matbeställningar i också? Ett erkännande av de långa förseningarna skulle ha gått långt, men det enda lilla omnämnandet var när räkningen kom, vår servitör förde oss två öknar i en to - go väska, som vi inte hade beställt, och sa att han gav dem till oss eftersom "det var lite lång". Återigen, ingen riktig ursäkt. Då var vi trötta och ville bara gå och lägga oss. Öknen - en bärtårta och cheesecake, var inte mycket bra - de båda smakade dagar gamla - torr och utan mycket smak. Id säga att restaurangen isnt värt priset, men det är verkligen inte värt den långa väntan och dålig, ouppmärksam service. Jag skulle gå någon annanstans nästa gång.

Stort urval av 3 kött och 2 ostar. Vi åt en blå och en cheddarost. Till kött blev det salami, kryddig salami och pastrami. Portionerna var enorma. Vi lade till hantverksbrödssidan. Min fru och jag kunde inte avsluta tallriken. Mycket bra värde!

Fantastisk utsikt över strandpromenaden, stora portioner, BBQ korta revben föll läckert från benet. Var noga med att göra en bokning, be om ett fönsterbord.

Stämningen var mycket minnesvärd. Ett halvcirkelbås med utsikt över gatan. Lawrence vattenväg i skymningen. Servicen var klockren och maten var utsökt med fantasifull presentation. Definitivt ett A plus.

Vi åt middag här på vår bröllopsdag. Allt var i toppklass. Vi hade ett fönsterbord så vi hade en utmärkt utsikt. Biffar tillagades perfekt (även för min kräsna make). Vi hade en utmärkt middag och Mark var en stor server rekommendera viner till oss. Ja, det var en smula dyrt för vad vi normalt betalar, men vi känner att det var värt det. Vi har verkligen haft det.

Vi hade en reservation för lunch. Kunde inte få ett fönsterbord. Maten var mycket genomsnittlig. Vi åt fish and chips. Vi tittade på medan vår mat satt under värmelampan en stund innan den serverades oss. Inte i närheten med priset. Jag har haft bättre take out.

Vi turnerade runt Chateau Frontenac och bestämde oss för att äta lunch på Bistro Le Sam. Tabell var omedelbart tillgänglig med en fantastisk utsikt över Saint Lawrence. Mycket spenderat även när man tänker på växelkursen mellan Kanada och USA. Mat och service var mycket bra med inga problem. Du betalar för Chateau, läge och utsikt.

En kraftigt överskattad restaurang: alla visar och ingen substans. Vi delade på en charkuteri/ostplatå: liten och allt innehåll utan smak. Kombinerade detta med 2 glas o basvin (acceptabelt bortsett från det löjliga priset). Så, en plats att undvika som en komplett rip off.

Jag hade en vänlig server, Sébastien, och beställde en mixad bräda av två ostar och tre charkuterier, inklusive Bayon skinka. Allt var lokalt. Jag beställde. Jag trodde inte att tallriken skulle vara så stor. En grupp kanadensiska damer vid bordet bredvid erbjöd sig skämtsamt att hjälpa mig äta upp maten. Det slutade med att vi pratade ganska länge. Så underbart. Den rekommenderade Fruity Daiquiri var fruktig och något söt med limejuicen. Min typ av drink. Sébastien hjälpte mig att boka bord för middag på Champlain restaurang strax intill. Han var också den som informerade mig om de två senaste Michelinstjärnorna som tilldelades La Tanière. Detta larmade och förgyllde mig att boka bord omedelbart. Det var en trevlig lunch på Le Sam - min typ av tallrik för en enkel måltid; en utomordentligt vänlig gäng medmänniskor; en vacker utsikt över strandpromenaden (Dufferin Terrace) och den berömda gatan Lawrence River; samt en hjälpsam, tålmodig och bra - natured server. Rekommenderas starkt!

Vi gick igenom rekommendation från våra vänner. Bortsett från atmosfären, var vi besvikna på bristen - lyster menyval och smak av mat, särskilt med tanke på priserna. Vi hade liknande och bättre mat i omgivande restauranger i Old Quebec.

Maten var utsökt, lönnglaserad fläskmage var en höjdpunkt. Men vi hade problem med en del av tjänsten. Inledande service var snabb - drycker beställning tas snabbt. Men vi väntade sedan extremt länge på att matbeställningen skulle tas vilket bara hände när den personal som hade satt oss märkte att vi fortfarande hade våra menyer. Var sedan tvungen att jaga servitören för våra drinkar som anlände strax efter maten. Det tog cirka en timme från vår bokning tid att få drycker och mat. Personalen som tog med maten var utmärkt, omedelbart märker när vi saknade något och ta med det direkt. Alla var vänliga, maten var stor, plats underbar - bara svikit av brist på uppmärksamhet från vår server på grunderna i början av vår erfarenhet. Jag skulle vara villig att försöka igen, kanske de var underbemannade och detta var en blixt.

Vi stannade på Club 1806 före middagen på Bistro Le Sam och tyckte bokningssystemet var lite invecklat. Du väntar i kö på 1806 , måste betala din räkning, komma tillbaka i kö för Bistro Le Sam Next door, även om du har en reservation. Värdinnan tog oss turnébord som hade höga pallar med låga ryggar som inte var lämpliga för mig som en 80-årig senior med Parkinsons sjukdom. Jag har problem med balans och rörlighet. Vi påpekade att det fanns 3 tomma bord bredvid vårt med bekväma stolar med vanliga ryggar och ytterligare 2 bord mot väggen. Vi hade bett om regelbundna sittplatser på vår bokning inte disk sittplatser etc. Vi fick höra att borden var reserverade. Det var en fantastisk kamp för mig att komma in i denna stol, både min fru och värdinnan var tvungna att halvlyfta mig i min stol. Väl i den bad jag om en kudde som tillhandahölls eftersom min rygg var mycket smärtsam och jag behövde mer stöd. Vi beställde vin och middag, för att vara uppriktig Caeser Salladen var torr, saknade dressing och nöjd. Löksoppan var intetsägande och mycket fotgängare. Det finns mycket bättre restauranger i Quebec City. Maten var hemsk. Vi åkte och betalade vår räkning. Vi kom för middag vid 5 : 45 PM och vänster vid 7 : 25 PM. Så länge Accor medlemmar vi lämnade mycket besviken. De 3 borden till vänster och de två på väggen var fortfarande lediga och lediga.

Vilken perfekt lätt middag. Bokning tillåten för en fönsterplats med fantastisk utsikt. Steak Tartare är en favorit och jag har njutit runt om i världen. Kvällen var definitivt en topp 10 , kryddad och smakrik. Korta revben också enastående liksom sallader . . . och vin . Service utmärkt

Jag drömde om svamprisotton i natt. Vi hade ett sött hörnbord med utsikt och njöt av fantastisk mat och service — vem kan begära mer!

Vi kom in när det var fullt och satte oss i baren där vi kunde beställa från den ordinarie menyn. Inställningen var mycket bekväm och servicen bra. Vi beställde gaspasiska skaldjursrätter - det var fantastiskt. Rik och väl - kryddad. Vi beställde även laxen. Det var mycket välsmakande med krispig hud och delikat tillagad. Det kom med en kaviardressing och kokta rädisor som också var underbara. Bäst av allt var brödpuddingen. Missa det inte.
