We visited Karma Indian Bistro five months ago while traveling from Montana, and we’ve been dreaming about it ever since! The food was perfectly spiced and full of flavor, the service was attentive and warm, and the zero-proof drinks were a rare and delightful find. The cozy ambiance made the experience unforgettable. We were so pleased to return to this very special restaurant on October 25th for a special dinner occasion …such a special treat and experience to be welcomed so warmly and to look forward towards an authentic Indian cuisine…the staff provided an exceptional discussion of the menu and the hospitality was present from the moment we arrived..either traditional or contemporary style of menu options are available…again we totally enjoyed ourselves at this very special Indian Restaurant by exploring the menu again…the BLT Terrace Noble Pinot Noir wine was fabulous and our Chilli Paneer , butter Naan and Mixed Tandoori Platter was amazing…then the dessert- Chocolate Lava Cake with Vanilla ice cream and RAS Malayi  set the perfect dessert to finish our very special meal….

We decided to try Karma Indian Bistro since the Michelin Guide added Karma to its list in 2023.

Overall, we thought it was okay compared to some of the award-winning South Asian restaurants in the US.

There were way too many items on the menu.  If the Michelin Guide recommends a restaurant, I would expect the restaurant to have a smaller menu.  By offering fewer dishes, chefs can focus on perfecting each recipe.  It isn't easy to achieve this with an extensive menu.

We got two appetizers: the chicken 65 and the onion bhaji.  The chicken 65 was tangy and flavorful; however, it was not spicy.  According to my husband, the chicken 65 is supposed to be spicy (his predilection for South Asian food is strong, and he is very knowledgeable when it comes to the cuisine).  The onion bhaji was delicious!  It was nice and crispy.

The lamb karahi was okay.  It had a slight kick to it, which was nice.  The lamb was cooked well.  The vegetable jalfrezi was also okay.  The flavors were subtle; I was hoping the flavors would be bolder.

My husband thought the mango lassi was decent.  It looked pretty.

I am giving Karma three stars.  It is on the Michelin Guide’s list, and I'm rating this restaurant based on other restaurants I have been to that are on the Michelin Guide’s list.  The food should be more than “okay.”  The restaurant should have a smaller, curated menu showcasing its culinary expertise.

Decent food, very good ambience. Great service, excellent staff. Curries are on a sweeter side, doesn’t have enough spices, not exactly Indian style though. Good selection of food & drinks overall. Overall a good place for lunch & dinner. Clean & well maintained place.

Fantastic place to enjoy Indian cuisine! My mom got the chicken vindaloo, and I asked our waitress Sadina what she recommended. She said that she recommended the lamb masal
They were both great, Sadina recommended ordering rice and naan with our meals, which were amazing! 👏 I highly recommend 👌 this place.
