Overall, dining at this restaurant was a delight from start to finish only because of the food. The delicious food and charming ambiance made for a memorable experience. The service could have been better. The servers kept pushing either to order quick or clear the plates quickly. Its not easy to enjoy a meal when your rushed into things. Hope there is a valuable learning to the staff on being understanding to customers.

This place was so good! If you want a solid delicious Thai dish, this should be your go to! We got the crispy tofu bites for an appetizer which was delicious. The waitress was so helpful with one of us having a shellfish allergy and accommodating our dishes because of it. There was a 30 minute wait for a 2 person table, but none for the bar. The atmosphere was overall super great and would go again!

Recently had the privilege of eating at Khao San Road a couple of days ago.
The service was on point. We had servers constantly filling our glass, asking if we were ok, or if there was anything we needed. They were always smiling and consistent with this behaviour and service with everyone eating at that time, which by the way was full capacity.
The place has a different set up than most and they make the most of their space. Very chilled atmosphere and cool looking bar upstairs which i will definitely try some time soon.
We had the Thai Milk Tea and this drink was delicious and super sweet from the condensed milk.
The  food was really good.
Ordered the Fresh Rolls, which honestly were my favourite up to date. The rolls were made from this sticky rice and had the texture of sticky rice different from any other place. They also put this chicken sausage which resembled tofu but it was actually tasty and mild the dipping sauce was on point. The only thing is it's super packed with cilantro, thats not a problem for me but if you don't like cilantro do not order this or ask to omit  the cilantro. Also ordered Three Flavours Pad Thai with Beef which was really good. Sweet Salty Savoury was definitely appreciated, it was simple and good.
Lastly we  ordered the Green Curry with Rice. The dish  was decent. Loved the spice level and mixture of spices and herbs but it was heavy on the coconut milk/cream. The pork had no flavour and the rice was a little hard.
Overall i had a very enjoyable experience.

Service here is exceptional and the food was fabulous. I love how lively the atmosphere is and would definitely return to try more dishes. Excellent authentic thai food in a convenient location. The Thai Iced Tea is great too!

Note if you are meeting friends here, your whole group needs to be present before you can be seated.

There is literally no signage which could be interpreted as a cool hole in the wall resto or unclear marketing. The surrounding area was under construction too so the energy is not great if you come here on a weekday during construction hours.

I appreciate the bursts of colour in the restaurant, especially the tiled wall and floors when you first walk in. The bar area unfortunately doesn’t have the same colourful tiling as the main section. I also like how they have different glassware for each patron and table, an artistic and eclectic decision.

The Pad See Ew ($21.75) was syrupy sweet but not cloyingly so. It was definitely a unique flavor which I haven’t tasted before for this dish. For the protein, I ordered “tofu and vegetables” but the only vegetable is the Chinese broccoli. Other Thai restaurants normally include additional mixed vegetables as the “protein”. I didn’t dislike the fact it was only the Chinese broccoli. However, I felt it’s a bit misleading to say “vegetables” as the broccoli already comes with the noodles.

The prices are on the higher end when comparing it to other Thai restaurants downtown. One dish costs a couple more dollars than its equivalent at other places. I don’t believe the higher price necessitates better quality of food or service. I think it costs more since they market themselves/self-proclaim as an“authentic” Thai restaurant.

Additional notes:
They don’t have a reservation system in place so it’s first come first serve. The seating is quite limited. I would recommend coming early if you have a large party. Be prepared to wait, even for a small party, as it was packed by 6pm.

This is a great restaurant for gluten free/ intolerant eaters as you don’t have to pay a lot more for the gf option. Rather than having a couple gf options, they offer a separate gf menu for $1 more than the regular menu.

Vi kände tur att hitta denna lilla pärla av en thailändsk restaurang under vår semester i Toronto. Akta er, IT är packat på helgerna, så ni kanske får vänta lite på ett bord, men det är värt att vänta. Maten var utmärkt och servicen likaså - även om IT var en hektisk natt - så vi hamnade besöka restaurangen igen några dagar senare. Till slut kom vårt fynd ut. Även om jag hade rekommenderat servern att ta med förrätten först, tog hon fram ALLT tillsammans! Restaurangen var trevlig, maten var inte så bra. Jag har ätit mycket bättre thailändsk mat. Musiken bara sprängde och att göra små eller alla samtal var nästan omöjligt. Jag kommer inte att återvända och kommer inte att rekommendera.

Läcker prisvärd & autentisk thailändsk mat i en funky miljö. Vi besökte för lunch men de har också en cool bar på övervåningen som säljer "hinkar" medan de sprider ut några fantastiska låtar. Jag skulle älska att åka tillbaka för en kväll ute

Den som söker en äkta thailändsk restaurang måste gå hit. Deras Khao Soi är att gudomlig! Den enda nackdelen är att det för middag är vanligtvis en lång väntetid. Gick på en fredag och väntade 1. 5 timmar. . . värt att vänta säkert men nästa gång vi väljer lunchtid istället.

Denna söta funky restaurang serverar utsökt, äkta thailändsk mat. Personalen är vänlig och välkomnande och kommer att förklara rätter för dig om du inte kan bestämma dig. . . . Kommer definitivt tillbaka för mer! !

Denna plats serverar fantastisk mat! Restaurangen i sig är liten men den är inrett mycket snyggt och har en fantastisk atmosfär. Tjänsten är snabb och servrarna är mycket vänliga. De har välsmakande vegetariska alternativ också på menyn. Rekommendera denna plats.

Jag är inte särskilt förtjust i thailändsk mat, men denna plats serverade en spektakulär maträtt. Tjänsten var stor och priserna rättvist. Vi kom dit vid 5: 00 öppningen utan att göra reservationer och det fylldes snabbt, så om du går senare borde du förmodligen boka bord. Det finns inget yttre tecken, och tecknet i fönstret är svårt att läsa, så du kan gå precis precis som vi gjorde.

Jag kunde relatera disken till de jag åt i Bangkok. Några av dem matchade även gatan mat. Pad Thai var tankar blåser. Särskilt älskade det thailändska istealet, äkta smaker över hela menyn. Det bästa Thai jag har haft i Toronto. Dyr men värt det.

Kärlek, kärlek, älska deras mat. Min fav är deras Khao Soi. . . så smaklig och så läcker; Inte konstigt att det alltid finns en väntan. Om du vill ha lite god thailändsk mat, gå här. Det sviker aldrig.
