Nice cozy, clean & vibrant atmosphere. The service is extremely friendly, our waitress made the time to chat with us, which was appreciated:) We all got different dishes, Nashville chicken sandwich had a lot of flavour, fries were alright. I’d suggest the bowls, especially the steak one, the portion size was huge, & meat was cooked perfectly. Great place to check out, with amazing food!

The Loose Moose in downtown Toronto is a lively and vibrant spot that’s worth checking out, especially if you’re looking for a place with great atmosphere and friendly service. We stopped by after a concert at Scotiabank Arena around midnight, and despite the busy crowd, they managed to accommodate our group of eight without any issue, which was impressive.

The vibe and décor of the restaurant stood out immediately. It has a cozy, rustic charm with a modern twist that makes it feel welcoming and stylish. The lighting, seating arrangements, and overall cleanliness added to the positive impression, it’s clearly a well-maintained and thoughtfully designed space.

The staff were another highlight of our visit. They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and upbeat, even with the late-night rush. Their professionalism and cheerful attitude made the experience even more enjoyable.

However, I have to admit that the food was just average. While the menu offered plenty of options, the quality didn’t quite live up to the ambiance. The flavors were okay but not exceptional, and it left me wishing for a bit more in terms of taste and presentation.

As for the drinks, the draft beer was disappointing. It lacked the depth and richness I usually expect, and the alcohol content felt underwhelming, which was a letdown considering their extensive beer menu.

Overall, The Loose Moose is a great place for the atmosphere and service, but the food and drinks could use some improvement to match the rest of the experience.

Our server was Fara and she was very good and attentive! Went in with a group of 9 people and she was great! The atmosphere was very cute and nice & the food was really good. I got the poutine but with only cheese and gravy, so good. And this brownie dessert with ice cream (also super tasty, the brownie was so warm!!)

I went to the Loose Moose a couple years back and here's what I remember from my experience:
The food was average and at times even below that, and the service was slow and inadequate. We went in on a Saturday afternoon and decided to get a bunch of appetizers to share to get a variety of flavours. We got the cheese dip, fish and chips, potato and bacon soup, and sliders. There was nothing in the spread that was outstanding or particularly bad, however there were a few flaws. The potato soup was bland and when we requested for salt and pepper, our server completely forgot about us and took 15 minutes to deliver it, and by that point the soup got cold. The sliders were just okay, same with the fish and chips. The best thing there was the cheese dip. Another service problem was when we asked for a refill on root beer, our server left out the fact that it was the only soda that was charged extra for a refill after we had already received the bill. This moment was disappointing and made me never want to come back here.

Came to Loose Moose around midnight and got this amazing burger “The Woody”. The atmosphere was awesome and the service was fast and great! They took care of us from the moment we stepped in. I recommend this burger specially if you like barbecue, bacon and caramelized onions. The fries also were amazing I think they were hand cut style fries. Super delicious, looking forward to coming back!
