Clean & Comfortable Stay!

I had a great stay at Best Western Parkway Hotel Toronto North. The room was clean, modern, and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed and all the essential amenities. The desk area was perfect for getting some work done, and I appreciated the coffee station with complimentary water bottles.

The only minor inconvenience was that breakfast was not served in the hotel itself—we had to go to the Sheraton next door for it. However, the food was good, so it wasn’t a big issue.

Overall, it’s a great place to stay if you’re looking for a clean, quiet, and comfortable hotel in the area. Would definitely recommend it!

I recently stayed at Best Western Richmond Hill, and while there were some positives, there were definitely areas for improvement.

The room was clean, and I was traveling alone, so the TV was a nice touch with plenty of channels and options to choose from. That was definitely a highlight.

However, I was disappointed by the fitness center situation. The gym is attached to a public amenity, and it wasn’t clear from the website. The cardio equipment was mostly out of order or in poor condition. It’s not a great setup if you’re looking to get a proper workout in.

Also, if you’re looking for peace and quiet, this hotel may not be for you. There was a lot of pounding and thumping noise all day long (until about 10pm), likely from people playing racquetball in the fitness center. It made it hard to relax or enjoy some quiet time in my room.

In the bathroom, there was only a single bar of soap—no hand soap or body wash, which was a bit odd and definitely not ideal for someone expecting a full set of toiletries.

One of my biggest issues was the way the hotel handled my arrival. I use a cane and was carrying luggage, and while the bellboy offered to help me to my room, the receptionist quickly intervened and told him I wouldn’t need assistance before I could even answer. I found this response a bit insensitive, and it left me feeling uncomfortable.

Overall, the hotel is okay if you're just passing through and don’t mind some noise, but I do think the management could benefit from addressing both the fitness center and their approach to guests with disabilities.

ZERO sound proofing. I stayed for two nights. First night I arrived late, and in the morning I was woken up by screams from the next room. And the 2nd night at 12 midnight the kids next door were still up high. Also it was a busy weekend (some kids hockey teams were here?) and I could hear people opening and closing the door to the staircase until like 1AM.
The only plus I can think of is that it's very close to lots of good restaurants.

It was nice to receive reminders of our upcoming stay through text and email. I liked how we could make special requests upon our arrival. The first two nights we received a text inquiring about our stay and if we needed anything. This helped us to request certain things and when we got back to our hotel, it was already put into our room.

The front desk personnel was nice and attentive to our needs. We did not hear our neighbors and there was not much noise.

We would definitely stay at a Best Western again.

Great Stay at this hotel. The free parking was ample space. Check in can be very tight there is one desk with only 1-2 staff manning that. The free breakfast vouchers to the sheraton was delicious. The internet was working quite well. I was recognized as Gold Member when noted but did not appreciate staff kept calling our room at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 2:30 pm asking us when we were leaving. If we are guaranteed a late checkout please honor that time and do not disturb us. We also had housekeeping barge in at 12:30pm which we were not happy about. Aside from these factors everything the hotel offered was good. Great Hotel to stay at. Notes: If asking for late checkout and the hotel honors to the guest. I would suggest guest not to leave any valuables in the suite just in case house keeping barges in when your not there. So could be called a lesson learnt.

Clean, spacious rooms, attached to a mall and A Sheraton with a Starbucks and restaurant (you don't even have to go outside when it's too cold!). There is also a Tim Horton's just outside (literally steps away). Just very convenient and I find the staff to be great. Mozhgan at the front desk lobby is very calm and extremely helpful and genuinely seems to wish to help in whatever way she can. The upper floor is best and has balconies.

They renovated the building and the staff is amazing. The breakfast is great and the price for rooms is reasonable. What i did not like is that they seem to have become a pet-friendly hotel. My room is on the first floor, which smells likedogs and the neighbouring room has a squeaky dog in it that just wont shut up. Throughout my entire stay, i had to deal with this annoying barking - all night and all day. Why would u renovate only to start allowing dogs ??? Why would you then put dogless people near the dog people ?? What if i had allergies ? What if i dont like paying $100/night just to hear someone else's dog yap for two days straight? Not impressed guys.

I stayed here for 2 nights recently. There were some really good things about this hotel and some bad things. Overall though, I don't think I would stay here again. The price of this hotel is excellent. For about $100/night also included is free parking, free WiFi and free hot buffet breakfast. There's also free fruit-infused iced water in the lobby, which I thought was a nice touch. The buffet breakfast is excellent. It's shared with the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel & Suites, so it's a bit nicer than your average free buffet breakfast. It's actually in the Crave Restaurant which is in the Sheraton, but don't worry, the two hotels are connected, so you don't have to go outside. The selection of food items was huge. They had scrambled eggs, egg white frittata, hard boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, sauteed mushrooms, baked beans, grilled tomatoes, vegetable fried rice (!) and deep fried tofu (!) - yeah, the last two items are weird breakfast items, but that's what they had. If you aren't into a hot breakfast, they have continental breakfast items too like English muffins, bagels, muffins, toast, danishes, spinach pastries (!), cold cuts, cheese, fruit, yogurt and cereal. I didn't eat everything obviously, but the items I did eat were fresh and tasted good (except for the cherry danish - the pastry was hard and tasted kind of stale). They also have a staff person there to make you omelettes to order (you get to select the ingredients) and they can also make you waffles. There are servers who come around and serve you coffee, tea, and juice. Since there is actual table service and it's not entirely serve-yourself, be prepared to tip (they bring you a bill with the amount that it would have costed you ($16.95/person) and then a 100% discount applied). There's a place on the bill to charge the tip to your room or you can just tip in cash. All staff at the hotel from the servers in the restaurant, to the front desk staff, to the cleaners were very nice, friendly and helpful. WiFi was fast and very reliable. Now onto the bad stuff: the rooms were not in good shape and the hallways smelled bad (musty). The comforter on the bed was stained, the place around the toilet paper holder was badly rusted, and I found the hallways creepy. I found the aesthetics of this place to be terrible. It looked rather run-down. There are no elevators in this hotel so if you have heavy luggage you will need to drag it up and down stairs (unless you are on the main level, I suppose). Parking, while free is hard to come by. The parking lot is shared with the Sheraton and other businesses, so you might have to wait around for a spot or drive all the way to the back of the hotel and walk all the way around to get in (and it's kind of creepy to do so at night). Despite the excellent service, awesome breakfast buffet and cheap price, I probably won't stay here again because the rooms felt too run-down. The hotel is right at the corner of Leslie Street and Highway 7 East, in Richmond Hill. It is within walking distance to many restaurants, particularly Asian restaurants. It's not far from Toronto if you have a car.

I would say so far this hotel isn't HORRIBLE, I have stayed in far worse. Do yourself a favor, if they offer you a first floor room don't take it. It feel like you are walking into a mental hospital when you walk DOWN to the first floor (yes I said down). The door way to the hall way has that metal mesh thing in the windows on the door. When I walked down the hall to my room and opened the door nothing really jumped out at me. Normal all around, bed, flat screen TV and window. Wait, did I say window. Not so fast. I have a fake window due to the fact that I am below ground. Okay, just no. First of all, I booked this hotel for my boyfriend's birthday (I did a surprise road trip throughout Markham, so on a piece of paper I gave hints with the addresses). This was the first stop and the last stop, believe it or not I couldn't book another place (considering on booking.com everything was full or super expensive because the surprise was so last minute). I didn't even want to come back.. Upon arrival, the front desk receptionist (I forgot his name), was already confused with something else and seemed like he was rushing through everything. However he gave us a double room with two double beds.. when I booked a king room. I tried to talk to him but he wasn't the nicest. I gave up and didn't want to waste time, so we said okay and it was on the first floor. Take in, we had to go DOWNSTAIRS to the first floor.. and walking thru the hallway was super creepy!! The room.. omg smelt like cigarettes.. I was gonna barf. The furniture was outdated and I just wanted to leave. To be honest, the vibe + the smell were just horrible. I won't be returning here.. ever.

From the price at booking I did not expect to find a four star hotel/motel. But surprisingly the rooms were super clean and up to date. I was on second floor and enjoyed all the extras in room - fridge, table, microwave, wifi. The pool area was great. There was an indoor pool and an outdoor pool. Both heated. Kids loved it. Looking forward to our upcoming visit next week. I shouldn't forget to mention the polite staff, free parking, and close to Starbucks and TimHorton's!!!!

All in few words . Not clean , hallways ; carpets. Besides not sure about how managment handles asigning rooms. Two nights in a row there were like 50 kids plus parents . Kids running all over places and parent drinking beer on the hallway and all with deaf problems because they were yelling not talking until 3 am . Anyhow we called the front desk and they didn't care. Anyhow an advise for everyone.. ask before they give you a room so you won't be having a terrible nigh.

I've stayed at this hotel many times now. It's always clean as the staff typically helpful. The only complaint I have is that there no elevator, and when I have a lot to carry it's difficult. But clean and friendly trumps most things, so I don't mind. What's cool is that, though this is a limited-service hotel in and of itself, it's fully connected to the Sheraton. This means a bar, a restaurant, and even a Starbucks. Oh, and there's a Tim's right outside as well. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.
