Public square where many events take place. On this day, a free concert was taking place. There were lots of police in the area, so I felt safe. The crowds were well behave. I didn't see any drunken people.  The plaza is constantly being clean!! Awesome place to visit and a must do when in mexico

I’ve been to El Zócalo a few times, and each time it’s incredibly crowded. On my last visit, I didn’t feel entirely safe. There seemed to be a lot of people watching, which made it hard to relax and fully take in the experience. I’d recommend being cautious—avoid wearing too much jewelry, as the atmosphere can feel a bit heavy. While the square itself is impressive, it’s difficult to appreciate its beauty when you’re constantly aware of your surroundings. It’s still a must-see for its historical significance, but keep your guard up to truly enjoy the visit.

This place is worth visiting for its architecture, it houses the oldest church of Mexico City and has a double organ. It depicts the life of Jesus since birth. It has the most unique tub of ‘Holy Waters’ for baptism.

Nice crowded place 😜 You hardly get a chance to see much as you don’t want to be pick pocketed 😉 and the traffic jams 🙈 As this is a huge tourist place, I wonder why Mexican government don’t ban cars/buses in the area. Lovely Christmas decor.
