Amazing experience at this one of a kind restaurant in middle of polanco! There a live DJ that plays dance tunes all night long and two entertainers that play the drums and very lively atmosphere that breaks out in dance once every hour or so. The drinks and food are good as well. The drinks and food are presented in a very unique way. I had the margarita off of their cocktail menu that was fairly small and it’s just chilled so no ice in it. It was with pineapple juice. For main course I had their big hamburger that actually had a mini burger on top of it. Never seen it before. Tried the tuna which comes in a sweet gingery sauce and was delicious. I also tried the octopus which was done very nicely. Atmosphere is 5+, service is 5, presentation 5+, taste 5.

We had dinner at Rosa Negra Polanco during our vacation in Mexico City. The vibe of the restaurant was lively, and the overall service was attentive, perhaps a little too attentive. At times, it felt overwhelming, because several waiters were lingering near our table and constantly staring at us, which made us slightly uncomfortable.

On the bright side, the drinks were fantastic, and the starters were great. We tried the guacamole and grilled octopus, both of which were nicely prepared. For the main course, we ordered the tenderloin steak and filet tacos. The steak was absolutely delicious. However, the tacos fell short of expectations. The tortillas were wet and soggy, which affected the overall texture and flavor.

Overall, it’s a beautiful spot with a vibrant atmosphere, and the steak and drinks are worth a try!

Spending 3 nights in Mexico City and was looking for an outstanding restaurant with good food and ambience.

I booked Rosa Negra. Just entering the restaurant, I am impressed. We ordered the large tiger shrimps and tuna… they were very good. Cocktails were excellent with a mixologist on site to give recommendations.

The music, the ambience, the service, the food… all 5 stars. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Went with a group for lunch top area and restaurant. Guacamole was amazing short rib tacos were really good. All the other food ordered everyone enjoyed.

They have good selections of meats and seafood. Service was also really good. Very attentive and quick and proper plate setting and dirty plates pickup.

If in the area a good restaurant to try and then walk around the Mexico City rodeo drive street.

Rosa Negra is a true Masaryk/Polanco experience. If you like everything over the top in terms of dishes, drinks and entertainment, this is your place. If you're looking for a quiet intimate dinner, this is not. The atmosphere is lively with dance music in the background and a Caribbean drum show happening every 1.5 hours. I really liked their Aguachile, and their rib eye steak!
