Beautiful surroundings for a spa break. The pool faces some stunning cliffs that disappear into a haze. The rooms are close to the pool but there is sensitive planting that feels very romantic and separate. My wife had ‘the massage of my life’ and the staff are polite and warm. If you are looking for a break from Mexico City for an infinitely slower pace to recharge, great value.

What a beautiful gem this property and the staff are.
Highly highly recommended this property for a tranquil and rejuvenating time.  From the beginning to the end, your entire stay will be beautiful.  The rooms, grounds, and all facilities are really well thought out and meticulous put together.  Perfect for the environment and vibes they are aiming to create.  All the staff are really friendly and kind.  Food is absolutely out of this world with great flavors, healthy and tastes.  Not only the tastes, but your body will also feel good.
It was perfect few days we spend there, we hope to return at some point.   You have to visit this place, you will love it!

Biggest con: Despite the website clearly stating no dogs are allowed, DOGS ARE ALLOWED and even WITHOUT leashes within the facility. Horrible experience as we came here specifically because it has no dogs allowed and no children allowed at the hotel. Even when we talked to the manager of the hotel she excused there being a dog there as saying it was a ‘service animal’ though it was rendering no service wandering away from its owner without a leash in the garden as well as howling and barking in their room and the garden. A ridiculous situation considering that is the main reason we came here as supposed to another facility. Service animals usually have signs such as vests, stay in the immediate vicinity of the person their servicing and are under control totally by their owners, however this one was not and is obviously just an emotional support pet that is not of any service. The events and seated dinner Frida inspired was great, they’re programs were nice, their facility is beautiful but our amazing trip was sadly dampened by the inability for the management to do anything about the dog even though their policy states no dogs allowed. There was paperwork submitted for the dog. A facility that cannot stand by their own rules has no rules at all. Not only that but because the dog was allowed inside the rooms I worry for the sanitary conditions of the rooms and the garden as dogs carry a myriad of diseases and fecal matter on their paws and was probably all over the furniture in the room it was in. Had I known, I would have chosen to spend my money…anywhere else. Dogs are not normally allowed in normal hotels. Watch out for dog feces in the garden if you come. I will mention that the restaurant staff is superb and the food is amazing as expected. The spa is the top reason to come as they are very attentive and the offerings of services are abundant and totally worth coming for I could not have had a better experience with the restaurant or the spa, phenomenal. The spa personnel were very caring and gave a unique experience we could only have had there. It is serene and peaceful. The scheduled programs such as leaf picking for tea, yoga, pulque tasting, and so on were also very inviting and a one of a kind experience. Another highlight is the flowers in the garden; there were plumeria blooming at night so fragrant, orange blossoms during the day wafting through the air, bougainvilleas, and more. Very calming atmosphere when pets are not present.
