We had brunch here on a Sunday so didn’t get the full dinner menu, but it was outstanding. The rooftop terrace was beautiful and we enjoyed the brunch. It was different kind of food on a much higher level than you normally would get at a basic restaurant. My wife and I were doing only Michelin star mentioned restaurants while in Oaxaca for the first time and we’re so glad we didn’t miss this one.  they have a beautiful pastry shop and bar and we really enjoyed the food. Don’t miss this gem

We were there for dinner yesterday. The reception and the introduction on the first floor were very entertaining - we were shown how tortillas are traditionally made. The idea of offering the guest some entertainment first is great - but then unfortunately it lost some of its spirit. We ordered two starters - which unfortunately took about 60 minutes to reach us.

The first dish was very tasty and harmonious. The second dish was apparently new on the menu and was bland and lacked coherence for our taste. The Mole was great.

The waiter confirmed to us that some dishes were new on the menu and not quite fine-tuned yet - which rather disappoints me as a guest, as I expect to order a dish that is perfect.

Apparently it was perhaps an unfavorable time for the staff that evening - as all the employees were rather restless and hectic, And that was the spirit that was placed.

Nevertheless, there is a lot of potential if certain screws are turned.

Tierra del Sol was the first restaurant I visited in Oaxaca, and it turned out to be one of my favorites overall. The experience feels authentic from the moment you walk in, with comals proudly displayed front and center, showcasing their dedication to tradition. The terrace views are beautiful and add to the charm of the place. The menu, though, can be a little confusing to navigate, but it’s worth the effort. They bring you a basket of their famous pastries/breads to pick from, and explain to you the different options. The memelas were absolutely delicious and a must-try. If you’re looking for a mix of authenticity and atmosphere, Tierra del Sol really is worth the hype!

Such an experience! You start by testing their tacos on the grouse floor while they explain you all different salsas. Than in the terrace a lovely dinner waits for you. The menu is divided into five based on local ingredients. Moles are amazing! There were also vegetarian options.
