Enjoyable experience only downfall is you can't climb the pyramid 🫣 but i love the nature aspect to be able to explore!

We visited on a rare rainy and windy Saturday in Cancun. It's a nicely designed modern museum.  The artifacts are interesting and nicely displayed.  There are some signs in English, but most of the individual item placards are only in Spanish.  The outside gardens and ruins were great.  All that said, the museum lacks funding and is in disrepair.  Perhaps local and Mexican national governments can find more funds to support the heritage of the Yucatan.

Museum has lots of information. Most of it is bilingual.. facility itself on the outdoor portion could use some renovations and updating. Inside is absolutely fine and beautiful. Sure to take bug spray if you want to explore the outdoor area and the ruins. That was the part that I was looking forward to the most. However, I saw someone else coming out of it and said the mosquitoes will absolutely eat you up. There's even a sign suggesting that you take bug spray. However, the gift shop wasn't open and the security guard told us that even if they were open, they do not sell bug spray.

“Despite the lack of parking, the inexpensive entrance fee and concise 1-2 hour tour made this visit worthwhile. The small but stunning display of Maya art and craft was a highlight. The pleasant walk outside, featuring Maya ruins and a charming town with temples, added to the experience. Situated conveniently in the Hotel Zone, it’s an ideal stop, especially if you’re en route to the airport, just 20 minutes away. I highly recommend making time for this enjoyable visit.”

Wonderful museum full of artifacts and history on the Mayan culture. The museum is wheelchair accessible. Trails from the museum lead through the jungle to impressive ruins. Easy to get to. We took the local bus and the driver dropped us off next to the museum.
