Decent little museum. Can be quickly done if just looking, but if you read all the details on the walls and read your way through, it's a little longer, and you'll appreciate it more. Getting the Frida Kahlo diary in the shop is a great little gem to take home, too.

This museum was very insightful on Frida's love life and how she came to paint. I wish there was just one of her real items there, as the museum is more of a story telling experience than anything. It was nice to see some of her artwork copies/photographs in there describing the photo. Very unique experience for sure! 350 pesos seemed like a lot for the experience.

Entre 5t Avenida.( Inside of 5th Ave )The staff is by far the nicest and very knowledgeable about the local artists and their work! The area is absolutely gorgeous with other shops in this little oasis type place. No charge to walk in. They wrapped our artwork up with care so that we can travel back home with it.

We had an excellent guide that provided very good information throughout our tour. It is a small museum with replicas of the painting, but was a really nice experience. We really enjoyed it! You can use a guide or self guide the museum. Everything is in English and Spanish. But we would recommend using the guide!

Wonderful museum and the guided tour was excellent! The tour is about 1 hour and goes through Frida Kahlo's life and art as well as Mexico's history. It's okay for kids although there are difficult topics.
With the tickets, you can get a 30% discount to the chocolate museum in Playa del Carmen.
