Beautiful pool/courtyard area with lots of lounge chairs. Great location — pretty quiet and away from the hubbub of 5th Ave. but still very walkable to the beach, lots of restaurants, etc. Delicious breakfast and helpful staff. My only complaint is that they didn’t have drinking water readily available for free in the lobby…but otherwise I was very happy with this hotel.

This hotel is really nice, with newer rooms, super cousy pool area and a really good breakfast with a good and wide selection.

We stayed here for 4 nights and had a really great time. Comming from rural Mexico it felt like comming back to civilisation upon arrival here.

The staff is very helpful and speaks really good English. You can exchange money and book excursions here too.

The rooms are big and quite nicely built with a big bed, reading/rekax area and with a great layout of toilet and shower. The rooms are equipped with all you expect except a coffee machine. But that does not matter as you can walk to all the cafes in the area and have great affordable coffee there.

Location is really good, very close to the famous 5. Avenue with all its temptations lurking just around the corner. Distance to beach is 300 meters, and you are allowed to bring the towels from the hotel if you want.

I very highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for affordable comfort, great location and convenience.

Had a fantastic weeks stay at this hotel! The room was clean, comfortable, and the housekeeping staff did a great job keeping it that way. There was a lovely pool and bar area which was a perfect oasis of calm after exploring the area's many attractions.

The location was excellent - close to the beach, shops, restaurants, and also the bus stop where many tours pick up and drop off.  Having a travel agency right in the hotel was very convenient. They offered a variety of reliable excursions, and the staff, Bernice and Mario, were incredibly helpful. They  went above and beyond to assist me with some photo issues I had from one of the excursions.

Overall, a highly recommended stay!

Noisy rooms and very small double beds.
The setting of the hotel is nice and good location.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life regarding safety. It’s extremely unsafe. If you are coming from the US or Europe, avoid this hotel!!

The staff are very rude, especially those at the reception. When you challenge them (about some made-up nature tax?), they suddenly don’t understand English. What a joke.

The rooms are extremely basic and definitely not worth the price.

It’s commonly known that Playa del Carmen is run by a ‘taxi mafia.’ They are on every corner. Some are genuine drivers trying to earn a living, but many are up to no good. There are always taxi drivers outside this hotel, constantly scanning the area and checking everything. They come to the hotel to use the facilities as they please. There is no front door, and there is no one to stop them. The hotel security guard is a joke; they do nothing to stop trespassing.

My friend came to pick me up with his car, but the taxi drivers blocked our car, and we couldn’t leave. The reception saw this incident and did nothing! They are completely useless; it’s extremely unsafe. After this incident, I had the misfortune of staying in this dodgy hotel for another couple of days. The taxi drivers were always watching me (they literally sat outside the main door) and took pictures of me, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable and vulnerable.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
