The hotel is beautiful, amazing design and architecture. BUT, I really hoped the room would have been better equipped for the price you pay to stay. There aren’t any lights, you only get candles, be prepared for bugs too as you are signing up to live in a jungle.
I was disappointed by the service the most, there isn’t any network in the room so it’s extremely hard to reach the service people. Our blanket looked burnt from previous stay makes me think they never bothered to check/clean even maybe?
If I were to go again, it’ll just be to go to the beach, they have a very nice beach and you still get to explore the resort a bit.

They do have showers in Sky Villas now.

The fan over the bed is too powerful to sleep under it comfortably. It would be nice to install a smaller one.

It is a different and amazing experience. The location, resort architecture, and design elements are unique and very beautiful. The rooms have a bit of less privacy, which felt uncomfortable in the beginning but got used to it later.. There are no lights in the evening except a couple of candles which gave an intimate experience. The rooms can be a bit cleaner but apart from that we really enjoyed our stay here and wished to extend our stay.

Disappointing Experience. Paid 700 pounds for one night stay, this is the cheapest room available, expected excellency. The room lacks privacy big time, the hot tub outside was dirty with leaves which is normal, but I requested to be clean at 4:30 pm and after chasing the hotel, someone was sent almost 10pm when its was already too dark and too late. The water is not hot enough. Requested taxi service for the airport and I was giving a price, when I chased for confirmation the price doubled. In fact this is very common in Tulum, extortion on taxis fair, and tipping became an obligation even when you are not receiving good service. I’ve been visiting the most uniques hotel around the world. I call them experiences. Azulik was on my list but huge disappointment. I did not enjoy my stay at all. Not worth this outrageous price with not even breakfast included.

We enjoyed our stay, however the advertising of this property is deceptive. This is NOT a luxury hotel and you will be disappointed if that is what you expect. It is an eco hotel with jungle foliage throughout and an “unplugged” experience (wifi does not reach the rooms). The construction and design is fun and interesting but unfortunately much of the property is poorly maintained- furniture cushions dirty, candles dirty and used, and overall does not look like the photos. The service was extremely mixed; the check in process was wonderful but the beach bar service was terrible and we felt unwelcome (considering we were the only ones there and there were at least 5 staff members you would think it would be much easier to get service). We found our experience at the dinner restaurant was similar and the drinks were very expensive (but service does not match the price tag).

They do not have lighting in the villas other than candles, and while I do love mood lighting, in our case the candles were simply not enough to light the space. It was so dark that we were bumping into things. Maybe if you are a bat and have sonar you would get along ok but we left with a few bruises 😂 We did politely request additional candles. The candles never arrived, and the concierge stopped responding to us.

I would also note that much of their social media content is AI generated and reflects construction proposals for which they are seeking investors. This is the idea behind their “museum” as well. The actual property looks vastly different. Additionally I would note there is no common pool for guests, only private pools for the nicer villas. Thankfully we were upgraded to a villa with a tiny outdoor pool when we checked in, which I very much appreciated!!!

Forgot to mention: the rooftop was closed the whole time we were there due to intermittent light rain. It was also cloudy during the day so the beach club was not really set up either. I know they cannot control the weather but we are still paying guests, so a little more effort would have been nice.
