Tre Scalini is a great gastronomic option in Boquete. Friendly service, great food, and a very warm, welcoming environment. The menu is extensive, offering unique spins on classic Italian cuisine. There is ample parking across the street, the restaurant atmosphere is open front and rear, allowing for decent breezes throughout. Seating is comfy, and intimate, great for dining with friends, couples or even alone. Always feels homey and welcoming. Service is great,  the staff seems to be ever smiling, cordial, and knowledgeable. The food is genuinely authentic Italian, so if youre looking for a taste of the old world, welcome home. Come and enjoy, well worth a visit.

Wandered into Tre Scalini with friends last week on a trip to Boquete. Service was wonderful and we all six of us enjoyed our dinners. Wine selection basic but good. If you’re thinking of an appetizer try the eggplant tower - delicious.

Clean with attentive and pleasant servers. We shared mozzarella and tomato bread which was hot and pretty--all the dishes were the works of a proud chef. I had shrimp spaghetti which was hot and nicely al dente and not over--sauced. And I didn't have to ask for a pasta spoon. Lynette had the vegetarian pasta with a tomato gravy. Too bad they used ground instead of fresh parmesan cheese. We will go back even though at $15 for a plate of spaghetti is overpriced. It just won't be very often.

The experience started off poorly with an unfriendly encounter—the parking attendant’s first words were, “You need the invoice of consumption to park here.” Once inside, things didn’t improve. Specially A staff member—a young woman—Service overall was indifferent and inattentive. To make matters worse, they refused to honor the legally required discount for “personas jubiladas” (retirees) because an elderly guest shared a portion of her dish with her daughter. The food was passable but forgettable, and certainly not enough to make up for the lackluster service and disregard for local laws. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a respectful, customer-friendly experience.

Nice atmosphere and good food. Definitely a bit overpriced but that’s what you get in Boquete. They had a few nice vegetarian options and I loved my primavera pasta. The chocolate pie is definitely a recommendation, it was so yum!
